Look at how things are shaping up for a mouthwatering potential final at Wimbledon next year in which history could be decided.
- If Djokovic wins the FO tomorrow, he'll be at 18 slams, with Nadal at 19 and Federer at 20.
- At AO 2021, Djokovic's pet slam, he's the overwhelming favourite to potentially win his 19th slam.
- At FO 2021, Nadal is the overwhelming favourite due to the warmer conditions. If he wins it, he matches Federer's 20 slams. But if Djokovic wins it, he matches Federer's 20.
- This sets up a historic situation at Wimbledon 2021 with two of them tied at 20 slams, vying to break the all-time slam record.
Of course there's no guarantee that things will play out like this, but it would be fantastic to see as a fan of the sport.
Even more tantalizing would be a situation where all three of them go into a slam tied at 20 each...
