The 2 best players in the world on Centre Court in a rematch from last year.

I was confident Novak was gonna come back for Wimbledon when no one else was.

Novak came bad for one reason and that's to avenge his loss to Carlos and he will do just that and do it in dominating fashion

Shorty is going down #25 Incoming

I think Djokovic will have his USO 2016 moment again. Cruising through the draw against absolute bums only to be taken aback by the first real tennis player he faces. Atleast I hope this is the case.
This guy is talking falsehoods

Hola Carlitos. It's been a while.

Last year ya took something that was meant for the stunning geriatric. It's time to correct that.

However due to possessing the stunning factor yourself, here is an alternative. Your country wins the Euros later in the day, vale?

Honestly hard to call this. I do think though Djokovic will maintain the sharpness for longer than last year if he finds the right spot. And that should make it an amazing final...

Alright here we go, its the rematch of their historic final from last year in 2023, when Alcaraz became the first man since Andy Murray in 2013 to have beaten the Serbian superstar in the Wimbledon final; claiming the title at the end of a tight five setter, 1-6 7-6 (6) 6-1 3-6 6-4.

However, since then, he's suffered a heartbreak in that epic Cincinnati final of 2023, losing to the serb 7-5 6-7 (7) 6-7 (4), and then an absolute demolition job by Novak in their latest match at the YEC SF, absolutely annihilating the Spaniard 6-3 6-2.

Their overall H2H is 3-2. However, after Alcaraz had won their first match in Madrid open 2022 SF, Djokovic has won 3 of their 4 matches afterwards, winning 5 sets with 2 breaks or more during that duration. So, its definitely not a matchup that Alcaraz particularly enjoys.

Compared to 2023, both have shown dips in their respective forms coming into this rematch; however, Alcaraz's dip is significantly more than that of Djokovic's.
Alcaraz has also had a considerably tougher draw than Djokovic's, way more difficult opponent in each round, and hence has 3 tough four setters and a five setter en route to the final. Djokovic on the other hand has had a virtually cakewalk of a draw, including a retirement in the QF as De Minaur pulled out due to injury. So, Alcaraz has incured way more court hours than Djokovic, hence the fatigue factor will come into play as well.

How do you think this match goes? Who wins and how many sets? Vote and discuss.
Alcaraz will be the youngest champion in history to win the famous 'Channel Slam'.

Djokovic played the least amount this year

Raz keeps losing first set as well

Djokovic is far fresher and more focused that 0-30 hold in second set was amazing

You're crazy if you think Djokovic doesn't win at least a set.

You're probably right, but crazier things have happened. I don't find it implausible that Carlos wins in straights because:

1. While Djokovic is one of the most clutch players on tour, we can't deny the fact that he can play some bad slam finals:

a. 2013 Wimbledon final against Murray losing in straight sets
b. 2013 USO final against Nadal
c. 2015 French against Wawrinka
d. 2016 USO against Wawrinka
e. 2021 USO against Medvedev

2. Djokovic of 2024 isn't Djokovic of 2023. Sure, he's played a great tournament against inferior competition, but he was absolutely dominant last year and hasn't even won a title this year. I agree that Carlos is playing worse than 2023 too, but comparatively, Carlos is closer to his 2023 form than Djokovic is.

Djokovic is winning this time. When it comes to avenging loses, Djokovic is the best at it. Last year was a fluke win for Alcaraz and this time he won't be able to repeat it.

#25 is coming at Wimbledon. Idemo!

Last year might have been a fluke, but Djokovic isn't the same player as he was last year.

Yep. I think alcaraz is saving his best till last. He will destroy Djokovic on Sunday. Alcaraz will stretch Novak in the long rallies and show his age more. I’m pleased Novak got to the final but he has not much chance here. Alcaraz knows how to win now.
I'm as big an Alcaraz fan as any but no way in hell is any destroying happening on Sunday. This will be another long grind and hopefully yet another classic in this great rivalry.

Alcaraz hasn’t exactly played any grass court legends either this tournament and he’s still dropping sets
