This match went totally to script by the tiebreak! Alcaraz so clutch and can raises his game to higher bar when he needs it.
I am watching both at the same timeGross collapse from Foe. The football’s on Clive that’s what I’ll watch
Told you alcaraz would come good! He’s a special player! In awe of watching his tennis!Tiafoe ran out of gas.
I did say he did good to win those tie breakers, my point was that he wasnt as dominant here as you all made him to be, and neither is carlosSuddenly the people who doubted Sinner based on playing tiebreakers now say nothing else matters but winning.
This forum is a joke lol
I totally agree. It's about winning - especially at the Slams - and Carlos is very convincing in that departmentThis is not about playing well, its about winning, ask novak, struggling against fearnley, but It wont Matter if he wins the thing, alcaraz always finds a way, you can call him PATHETIC all you want, more slams than Djokovic and fed at same age, he has indeed a bright future, and even a loss today wont change that.
Tennis is a war of attrition moreso than anything else. Mental and physical strength trumps all. It's what separates the great from .the goodTiafoe ran out of gas.
Sinner fans can open mouth, Carlos will pound them.4-4 0-30 second serve remember that moment
He’s the king at best of 5!Why does Raz only wake up in ,4th and 5th sets ffs
Tennis player goes to doctor. Says he's doubting himself. Says life gets darker and darker and darker. Says he took the game for granted and got a little too comfortable, forgetting what he was doing to win. Doctor says, 'Treatment is simple. Great clown Tiafoe is playing in town tonight. Go and beat him, even local 3.5s can. That should pick your game up.' Tennis player bursts into tears. Says, 'But doctor…I am Tiafoe'
He's won over 50 slam matches and only played 12 5-setters, so the idea that he only wakes up in the 4th and 5th is a bit weird. Why does Raz only wake up in ,4th and 5th sets ffs
FifyTiafoe ran out of brain
Francés did have a great chance to finish It in 4, It was the typical Carlos slam loss, 4 sets and playing horrible throughout11 out of 12 fifth sets won if he gets through this one....I haven't seen anything like this at such a young age before. The way he just brings out this 5th set form. If you want to beat him, you better get in done in four sets or less.
Agreed. This applies to sinner and Djokovic too. If it goes 5 even they cooked against him. Alcaraz will beat anyone in 5 sets now.11 out of 12 fifth sets won if he gets through this one....I haven't seen anything like this at such a young age before. He found his top level though in set 5 and tiebreak of set 4. He can play in patches and it’s enough to win this tournament. His best level is better than anyone in the draw in my view. Even if he drops off he can still win.Francés did have a great chance to finish It in 4, It was the typical Carlos slam win, 4 sets and playing horrible throughout
To be fair, and it may not be saying that much, but this guy he's playing might be one of the 10/15 best grass courters around. He's about as hard a third round as you'll get, especially with his flat hitting indoors.I want Carlos to win but I'm not as sure as I was that he'll win the title this year.
He's special, flat out. Can be frustrating at times but what he's able to do in big moments time and time again is almost unprecedented. That's where The Big 3 DNA shows11 out of 12 fifth sets won if he gets through this one....I haven't seen anything like this at such a young age before. The way he just brings out this 5th set form. Yeah a nice comparison. Stan at his peak was brilliant in best of 5 too and in set 5 too!The way Carlos' engine gets revved up after 4 sets, reminds of me of Stan "The Diesel Engine" Wawrinka. He oftentimes looks his freshest in the 5th set, which is remarkable.
Never said he doesn't have a bright future. But he makes it much more difficult for him than it needs to be.This is not about playing well, its about winning, ask novak, struggling against fearnley, but It wont Matter if he wins the thing, alcaraz always finds a way, you can call him PATHETIC all you want, more slams than Djokovic and fed at same age, he has indeed a bright future, and even a loss today wont change that.
