ATP H2H: 10-5 for Taylor
GS H2H: 2-2 tied
H2H at grass: 3-2 for Taylor

Sascha has advanced to the Wimbledon QF for the first time in his career, but now he faces Taylor Fritz, to whom he has lost his last 7 mutual matches, which indicates that Taylor has the advantage in their matchup. It can be said that this is a battle for the finalist from the bottom half of the draw, as the winner of this match will be a big favorite against Cobolli/Fery. Can Sascha overcome his current matchup disadvantage, or will Taylor prevail over Sascha again? We'll see that today on Court 1!

What a match we got here! I like both guys but hope Chainz can win this one!

It will be tough for him though. Fritz has his number so I will go Fritz in 5! It will be close though and Chainz has a good chance to turn the tables.

Unfortunately for my #ABZ brethren, I think today’s the day Zed breaks the streak. His serve has been very strong this tournament, and I’m not sure Fritz is going to be able to break through.

Zed may collapse mentally seeing his daddy on the other side of the net, however. Perhaps comrade Fritz can clean the streets once more.

Taylor in 4.
I’ve not read anything about Zverev being dramatically better on grass and we know Fritz likes the stuff.

It going to an epic match! Maybe now chainz is a slam winner he finds a way to win this. However, Fritz just beat him recently as is more natural on the grass. I think it goes 5 again.

I’ll go Fritz in four tight ones but really any score wouldn’t surprise me. Taylor’s winning streak against Zed has to come to end sometime. He’s not the type of player to just own Zverev indefinitely, and today could very well be the day.

But Fritz is more capable on the grass surface than Zverev.

I believe in Zverev this time, he's looked in good form, Serving like a boss and playing well. I'm more than aware of the head to head and Fritz historically being the better grass player but I'm ready to believe!

I have a feeling Zverev will win this and fairly comfortably in the end. There's only so many times Fritz can upset Zverev while being an inferior player.

Anyway, this is the real SF, whoever wins this I'm fairly convinced will reach the final.

Unfortunately Roland Garros rocked me to my core. I have no faith in Fritz, the H2H flatters to deceive imo. Zed is serving out of his mind and playing with confidence, I don't think he's losing until the final.

Zverev needs to win for the sake of tennis and humanity.
However, Fritz probably will win, because what should happen does not typically happen,

It's so easy to forget that Zverev is 6ft 6inches (1.98m for some of y'all) with his movement, so it's a big factor and helps when serving this huge. The guy is massive!

Fritz is 6'5".

Ok, and?

My point was that Zverev can both move extremely well and serve huge due to his height. Not many tall players can boast such good movement. Fritz isn't a no slouch either but he's not as good as Zverev in either catagory. Which makes the H2H that much more mind-boggling but hey, bad match-ups happen.

This is the best Zverev has ever looked on grass. The RG win definitely seems to have increased his confidence.
I agree. It has and especially with Alcaraz out again and being on opposite side of draw to sinner/djokovic. This is making him believe he can pull of a Wimbledon title and channel double.

I still think that Fritz can win this match. But for now, Zverev is serving out of a tree. He’s been on fire.

Zverev would have 10+ slams if he could serve out sets/matches confidently. I thought it was gonna be yet another choke there but credit, saved the BPs and saw out the set! Let's go!
