to be fair, opponents of all finals of djoker shall be listed (i.e. two more fed)
having said that, i will say if rafa plays against Berrettini and K in another two, he should at least win one

if nadal would have been good enough to reach the final he maybe would have won, but he wasnt even good enough to make the final.

u might be right but definitely wrong to use the word "good" instead of "healthy" unless u regard djoker is not "good" enough to play in this year's FO QF

Look for what it’s worth I do think 2006-2011 Nadal was possibly better overall than 2011-2015 Djokovic on grass, and was unlucky to get prime Fed instead of Old Fed (plus peak Djoker instead of the 2012-14 vintage). He matched up a lot better against Fed and Murray. I also think 2018dal was screwed badly by the roof situ.

But ultimately the reason OP is able to make this thread at all is because Djoker has just reached so many more finals than Nadal at Wimbledon. Nadal might have the narrow edge for peak / prime, but Djoker is miles ahead for consistency over their careers as a whole

That's fair.

Like I keep saying, timing and competition is one of the biggest factors...

Put Fed 06-08 in there vs Djok from W19, 21 and 22 and he loses all 3 instead of winning them... so his Wimbledon count = 4 (2011, 2014, 2015, 2018)

Put Anderson, Kyrgios, Berrettini in the final from 06-08 and Nadal wins all 3... so his Wimbledon count = 4 (2006, 2007, 2008, 2010)

Why are you highlighting that Nadal couldn’t reach the finals of Wimbledon from ‘18 to ‘23. lol - what’s the agenda.

Anyways Djokovic did face Federer in Wimbledon finals more than Nadal, so ya - cherry-picking can be avoided :)

Well said and true.

Not all Federer's are created equal.

This is so obvious. It’s a bit of a cop out to ignore it. 06-11 Nadal would’ve feasted on 2019-2023 grass. Carlos would’ve been a test but wouldn’t beat 07/08/10 Nadal there.

ya 2008 Fed wasn't really quite good. Can't agree more. :)

2008 was the only grass season Federer won Halle and reached the Wimbledon final without dropping a set in his career...

He did so beating players that have taken sets off him on grass in years prior as well... Kiefer, Hewitt, Soderling, Ancic, Safin...

What's not really quite good is your tennis knowledge.

That was Fed at his best and Nadal took him down.

I recently rewatched that final and fed looked terrified for the first two sets. Mentally battered from the clay season. Credit to Nadal for inflicting that on him, but this wasn’t 2006 fed coming out cocky believing he will win easily over Nadal. Physically he might have been close to the top again after early season mono, but mentality plays a big part.

Can play these mind games all day, ultimately Djokovic is the greater Wimbledon player as they played three times there and Djokovic won twice. Same as USO but Nadal is greater there.
2018 will always be controversial as had it been played outdoors that saturday when it was close to 30c and sunny Nadal may have won, but then again but for the silly curfew London rule the match anywhere else would have played out on the friday under the roof anyway.
Djokovic is greater at Wimbledon irrespective of strength of opponents. They faced off 3 times. Djokovic won twice.

Someone needs to learn what sarcasm is.

Nadal victory over W’08 was epic af. But so were all the Djokovic W victories over Fed.

Though Nadal fans have lenses which are sort of permanent. What to say

Not at his absolute best, but nowhere near as bad as Fed sooks want others to believe...

He was in very strong form in 2008 grass season, only Fed fans can't admit it, otherwise it hurts their ego...

I really don't understand this. Except 2021, Nadal was in every one of those draws.

"But he was old". Djokovic is one year older than him. Why we hold it against Djokovic for being able to perform?

"He was not prime"

He was MIA 2012-2017, either not participating or losing to Rosol, Darcis, Brown and Muller.

In the last full 10 years, Nole has won 9 HC slams and 6 grass slams, while Rafa has only stepped up to challenge Nole ONCE on each surface.
This must be a major letdown for Nole haters?

The same argument can be used against Joker though. He’s only 11 months younger, but he didn’t win his 2nd schlem until 2011. RAFA already had completed the Golden CGS by then and was an ATG.

He was very good. I’d say due to mental issue vs nadal and declined return game a half notch below his 03-06 forms, but definitely much stronger than any post 2013 version and slightly better than 09/12 versions too.

Def sucks that Nadal had to run into the grass GOAT at his peak for his first 2 finals. Nadal would have had 4 titles out of 5 years from 06-2010. Novak's peak came later, so he was going to end up with more Wimbledon's than Nadal regardless.
Nadal never played Sampras.
