Wimbledon is pure class

how can you not like fried bread and bacon, these are arguably the best bits? Add some black pudding and it is perfect.
I don't know. I guess, that the association of deep fried things (bread, hash browns) and overly greasy things (bacon) with unhealthy food is too deeply rooted in my mind. Add to that the strange (for a foreigner) taste of the black pudding, and you have all the parts, that I avoid in the English breakfast. Everything else on that plate (plus tomatoes) I could and, indeed, have eaten with pleasure, when I was living in England. The nutritional value of this breakfast is superiour to what we eat in Germany (mostly bread with some butter and jam/salami, cereals) or what I had, while I was living in France (croissants, baguettes with cheese etc).

Anyway, it seems, that a lot of people are into this highly contrasting blend between country style, royal presence and tradition. For me it is mostly the green grass and the sheer pleasure of going to the Grounds and watching some excellent tennis.

I could live on French cheeses for a long, long time. Great food. Are you telling me it's not healthy ?
