Wimbledon legally, ad-free, in Europe?

Any clue?

It seems like that tax-dodging, multi-national abomination starting with "A" owns the rights to carry Wimbledon in central Europe, now, and even in their own description of their "plus" offering (which costs more, on top of a base monthly cost that is already higher than the likes of Eurosport...) they include the words "may contain advertising" or some such. Asking around, their headline sports broadcasts *do* include ads, apparently.

I was so hopeful that I'd get to watch a bit of Wimbledon, this year, after learning that Sky don't own the rights any more.

I won't watch it with ads. I don't want to pirate it. I'm in Germany.

In Germany, with fortuitously bookmarked links to old 6,99-per-month subscription sign ups that no longer are listed on the official page, one can still get proper ad-free Eurosport for at least Roland Garros and the Laver Cup and some others. (Australia and US, too, I think, although the times are uncomfortable.) Wimbledon seems doomed to be transferred between the worst and worse-than-the-worst!

I'm glad to be a boomer who still pays for a tv subscription (The Netherlands). I get to choose if i want to watch it on BBC One, BBC two, Eurosport 1 or Eurosport 2. Most of the times the BBC has 2 games and Eurosport will broadcast 1 game, sometimes the same as one of the BBC's, sometimes a different game.

Eurosport were bought by Discovery. I'm in denial about that but be absolutely certain that I don't consider them to be "good guys." (I'm no fan of Becker, either.)

It *is* still possible to get it ad-free, though. I've an old link that we use to get a subscription for one month for RG, every year, and it still works. Then, on the list of videos that are live, high-profile matches are inevitably listed twice and one entry (usually the first) takes you to the ad-filled version, anyway. The other is what you paid for. (In Germany, at least.) The premium one (when you find it) doesn't have a tonne of Eursport ads (notably: and – most importantly – doesn't ever have sports-betting ads. (Nothing triggers me like advertising gambling – I'm a mathematical statistician.)

To the UK, then iPlayer? (This is what I was expecting, before I posted, hoping to avoid the grey area if possible.)

Recommendations? I'm leaning towards Mullvad but have no prior VPN experience.
Mullvad works for me this year, but you might have to clear cookies and switch location if it does not work
