Can someone explain how did Edmund win that point? Even if the umpire missed the two bounces, the shot of Edmund went out.

So what really happened there?

bad officiating , bad sportsmanship from Edmund, but he holds on.

Why didn't Novak challenge though ? it went out.
he thought it was double bounce , so didn't pay attention to whether it was in or out ?
I think that’s what happened

This is really ****ed up. Djokovic should be up a break here and earned that game. If you can't do your job as an umpire then you shouldn't be sitting in that seat. Pure cheating.

Can he not complain to the match referee or something ? How the hell is this possible ? The level of bizarre is close to that lunatic umpire's shenanigans in that Nadal-Goffin match from MC.

Yeah I think he was more focused on the double bounce and how the umpire didnt call it

So that's now 3 messed-up calls: having the racket leave your hand, double-bounce, and out. wtf how did no one notice any of those lol :| that was terrible. edmund and the umpire should be embarrassed.

Crazy last few minutes a few games ago. Why wasn't that point replayed when it bounced off Edmund's baseline? Second, in the next point, not only did the ball bounce twice before Edmund got to it, but Edmund missed the cross-court shot and also touched the net before the ball had bounced twice on the other side anyway, yet Edmund still won the point!

Yeah, if Edmund would have done the right thing, this would have not happened. Shame on him above everybody else, since I am 100000% sure he knew it was a clear double bounce

For me that was worse because the ball was not even close to the line, however there are maybe two or three mistakes in one play. Too much for the best tennis tournament in the world

I agree it was a ridiculous quadruple bad call, but all those saying they would have called themselves on it... just utter BS. This place is disappearing up its own arse.

And hit the net and racket was out of his hand..like he lost the point in every way

Oh yeah, the racket was out of his hand, forgot about that, but didn't saw that HE HIT THE NET AS WELL LOL.

So, 4 motives to give Djokovic the point and still, Edmund got it. I've never seen anything like this.

It's ridiculous. I hope he does complains after the match.

There really should be a way for the player to complain to the referee or ask for a replay in circumstances like this.
