Ridiculous scheduling continues. They put Fed on Court #1 and two women's matches (one QF ) on Centre Court.Clearly favors Nadal over Fed.

An outrage, disgrace and scandal all at the same time.

Not really. Nadal and Federer are pretty much equally popular now, in the sense they are both so popular they'll fill up a stadium. They chose Nadal because he's more likely to get upset and because young gun Kyrgios is more interesting than old horse Robredo.

Regarding womens, it's meant to be women's quarterfinals day and they seem determined to stick to schedule. Not determined enough to put an extra match on Centre though. That I don't understand.

What do you mean favours Nadal over Fed? Nadal is 2nd seeded, Federer is what? 4?

REALLY Boring Wimbledon so far. only decent match was Cornet match but she can't follow that up. so Typical

There have been moments (first set and a half in the dimitrov/dolgo match stands out) but talking about entire matches... yeah its been a little flat. Imagine this week things will liven up somewhat :)

Quarterfinals are set:

Novak Djokovic[1]
vs.
Marin Cilic[26]

Andy Murray[3]
vs.
Grigor Dimitrov[11]

Stan Wawrinka[5]
vs.
Roger Federer[4]

Milos Raonic[8]
vs.
Nick Kyrgios[WC]

One thing I love is that, even though we always thought this day wouldn't come, young players are FINALLY breaking through on the men's side. Raonic, Dimitrov and Kyrgios are all in the quarterfinals and Nishikori was right there on the doorstep but lost to Raonic in the 4th round. Someone had to lose there.

The point is there is talent there and it's finding a way to break through. I think we can put to rest the notion that men's tennis is getting weaker and instead give credit to the current top guys who have just been so dominant.

So much this.

Its so refreshing to see those names instead of Berdych/Tsonga/Ferrer. We're obviously going to see the Big 4 still dominanting for now but it looks like the younger generation are just starting to replace the journeymen of last generation. We're nearly at the changing of the guard and i welcome this new era of tennis. Question is, who will be the first one to win a slam?

too bad for andy that he had to lose in straights while Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and his Duchess Cate Middleton were in attendance! :(

Seeing Murray at #10 is just crazy. But he really has been that mediocre this year.

How the heck is Del Potro still clinging on at #8? He hasn't played a tournament since Dubai and forfeits his semi-finalist points from last year's Wimbledon?

I'm SO hoping for a Dimitrov - Federer final, it would be a gorgeous match!

Sorry, you've lost me. Why is everyone else apart from the top 4 being moved around but not Del Potro?

Because he probably has accumulated most of his points from the second half of last year? I didn't follow him so I really don't know how they are distributed, but this is the logical conclusion.

Weird to think Murray did better on clay than at Wimbledon. But anyway, Djokovic should have a pretty clear path to the title now, which means he'll finally claim the number 1 spot he's been deserving of all year.

But he just lost 720 semi-finalist points from last year's Wimby semi-final! Surely that must have made some difference to his position by now??

This is no mystery really, the ranking points are there for everyone to see. The gulf between ranking spots are much wider the higher up you go in the rankings. Delpo will drop a lot come the fall tournaments since to begin with thats where the majority of his points is.

Well it's where ALL of his points are to be precise. So he will have zero points after this fall..

So are you adopting her now? That's fine, I'm just wondering. Canadians are a giving bunch of people.

She does look like the Statue of Liberty.

absolutely! :)
at least for today ... very generous of you! ... Genie is our Honorary Lady Liberty for the day!! :D

Does Genie have enough tools to hurt Kvitova ?

I know Kvitova's problem is inconsistency. I think if she doesnt make too many mistakes, she can control the outcome. I saw her play Venus and she was awesome. Also she seems to handle pressure well in high stake matches.
