Humbert may be hyperactive but it’s a counterproductive trait lately, going 0-2 so far in 2023. He’s in on a reciprocal WC to the French and has slipped so badly that he’s playing as often at Challengers as ATP Tour.

Hey, be happy he’s winning but he wasn’t “ripsnorter great” in his 6 Challengers last year. He won one of those six and made four SFs and one QF. Little David Goffin set the “ripsnorter great” bar a little higher in the summer of 2014 when he won three Challengers in a row and then topped that with a 250 title. Not satisfied, after a minor “slump” at W-S/USO, he came back to win Metz 250 and a fourth Challenger. Only fedr ended his peak in the Basel final. That’s “ripsnorter great.”
