Win an ATP Title, Then Lose Your Next Match

The Demon has officially booked his stay... but will Katie be allowed to join him?
I'd advise her to use the service entrance around the side, just in case the previous management left any nasty surprises for unwanted guests coming through the front door.

Previous management would point out that the Olympics are not an ATP event, but we're much more accommodating of special circumstances.

Jack Draper emphatically declines the lodge invite so Alex and Katie will have the place to themselves. Good thing too since the walls are thin.

We sent Fils and Cerundolo vouchers for 500,000 pts* for our soon-to-be-launched loyalty program. Cerundolo did win matches at the Olympics but it's technically not an ATP event.

*1,000,000 pts = $1. WATLYNM Hotels and Resorts reserves the right to adjust the point redemption rate without notice.

Sonego is increasingly looking like he'll need a place to crash for the night.

If not for the hideous décor (and the lingering stench of the former management's pungent cologne) the women might be inclined to stay - Linda Noskova and McCartney Kessler earned honorary stays as well.

since @stringertom is on a leave of absence, I propose extending a trial membership to Katie Boulter after her 1R loss to Giorgi after winning in San Diego. We'll need to wait until Friday to see if her boyfriend joins her since he has a 1st round bye but we could have our first couple checking in together ... ever?

The biohazard deep cleaning crew has been put on standby.
What happened to @stringertom ? Has he been absent all this time?

about a year now. guess he got in a bad fight with someone and had enough.

oh, I meant that we still have him locked up in the basement. not particularly useful but we throw some table scraps downstairs to keep food costs down. odor management is an issue though.
That's a shame. I mostly enjoyed his poasts. Always quite knowledgeable about the up and coming younger players too.

See Tom's post #1301, p. 27 in this thread, also posts 1073, 1031, 1094, 1095, 1107, 1108, 1219.
No WTA, no juniors, no challenger/futures, ATP events only (which excludes Grand Slam events), 250 minimum level.
Katie might be able to step into the lounge briefly to wish AdM a happy stay, but she can't stay at the Inn herself.
Tom would be spinning in his grave if he knew women were being booked by a negligent concierge.

I guess AdM just had to sneak her in through the back door then.

RBA declines to visit the WATLYNM lounge, upsetting Ruud in 3 just days after his Antwerp title.

I figured RBA would be a prime candidate to be a WATLYNM frequent visitor - good enough to win smaller titles here and there, not good enough to get seeds and byes especially at larger tournaments. But apparently he's more consistent than that having lost a match following a title just 2 of 12 times, the first at 2014 Canadian Open (1000) and the second at the 2018 AO.

For contrast, Shapo (a much streakier player) is 1 of 1 - he won 2017 Stockholm (250) and promptly lost in Vienna (500) afterward.
