When playing a competitive tennis match, what do you get more enjoyment from, winning the match, or playing aesthetically pleasing tennis?

Beauty comes first, always.
I remember getting a severe beatdown a couple of years ago with the opponent, a guy I saw for the first time in my life, telling me at the handshake: "I get the feeling the result is not as important to you as looking pretty while playing."

How about playing beautifully and winning at the same time. Seems like a reasonable choice followed by maybe not being at your best but still scraping out a. win.


Winning with ugly looking tactics and off the racquet frame shot making at critical game points just adds the fun of winning a match.
