Winter League QFs match

Thought you all might be interested. League started with 24 people, regular season of two divisions, 11 matches per player, now winding toward the end. Last night we had a QF match between a 2-seed in one division and a 3-seed in the other. Feel free to play "guess the level."

High 3.5/low 4.0.

Blue has the more traditional strokes and can hit them fairly well when he's in position. But he lacks the footwork to get there at times.

#19 has a more unconventional game but it's effective and he mixes things up nicely [I saw several SABRs]. He wins a lot of points coming to the net and pressuring blue and blue simply makes errors trying to pass. He has superior mobility and does a good job of moving blue around.

both 4.0s. Wool cap has a fun aggressive game to watch. Just not consistent enough. If blue shirt can fix his commitment issue with his backhand, he will really good.

I am guessing too much inconsistency on groundstrokes for 4.0 ... So I am putting out a 3.5 league ... but could be sandbaggers at 3.0 :D

I like seeing the good S&V from striped hat dude ... Blue shirt guy has a nice service motion and demonstrates some good depth on groundstrokes

Either 3.5 or 4.0. I'll lean towards 4.0, but won't be surprised if its 3.5.

Its tough. I'm a 4.5 and really haven't even hit with any 4.0s for 2 years +. So I'm not sure if I double bageled these players would put them at 4.0 or 3.5. Just kidding... kinda. I bet either of these guys might be able to get a game on me so that makes me say 4.0.

Fenglers strokes are 3.0. But his overall junkballer game is high 3.5. That style is all about sabotage, and it works really well against baseliners. Even up to 4.0. But any solid all court, or serve and volleyer will make him eat that backhand junkball.

3.5 for the guy with the wool hat.
4.0 for the other guy with no hat.

Both were incredibly strong 3.5s last year, both are now 4.0s, and my guess is they'll probably be above average at that level even in their first year. Wool cap lost in the semis tonight 6-1 6-3, will post that video soon.
