My wife and I are retired Canadians and avid recreational tennis players. For the past few years we have spent the winter in Spain and Portugal - rent a condo, attach ourselves to a local tennis club, and play 4 or 5 times a week - primarily doubles and social/group tennis. We have had very good experiences for the past four years, but we would like to explore other areas in the world where we could do the same (particularly warmer than southern Europe in the winter). We are interested in finding an active club somewhere other than Canada and the US with social tennis opportunities where we can live locally for 3 or 4 months and play at the local club with locals and or other visitors 4 or 5 times a week. Relatively warm/hotish is a requirement. Does anyone have any recommendations? One of the problems I have encountered while researching similar opportunities is that many times the tennis opportunities are at a resort club which usually does one week camp kind of set ups, and, cost wise, is not an option to stay for 3 or 4 months.
