Who will win the 2010 Ladies' Wimbledon Title?

Venus is hopeless. Struggling against this Groth chick,LOL.

Now Groth will serve out the 2nd set. After finally breaking back,Venus gifts the break to Groth again. What a joke. She can forget about even getting past Groth,not to mention reclaiming her Rosewater Dish. I'd take Serena,Kim and Justine over Venus anyday. Her serve now is even more horrendous than before.
 
Venus Williams - what a joke now she has become!

Seeing her against Groth really is unbearable to watch. Her serve went from being one of the best to error-prone. Her second serve will either go in or produce a double fault. And the worst thing is,sometimes when she tosses the ball,ready to serve she will retoss again. What's up with that? And she's producing way too many unforced errors she shouldn't have made.

She will not win Wimbledon this year. Heck,she will NOT get past Henin. Venus is now dreadful to watch,has turned into somewhat of a joke. It now only takes a average WTA player on fire and who can hit as hard as her to give her a tough match,LOL!
 
Watching Venus play this Wimbledon I can say sadly she has no shot at all of winning. I would be surprised if she can even beat Henin or Clijsters in the semis, let alone Serena in the final. She really is past her prime now and unlikely to ever win another slam anywhere.
 
Seeing her go up 4-0 in the tiebreak and then conceding her advantage to 4-4 is as dreadful as dreadful can be. Put other top players in her position and she never would have given the advantage away.

Heck,she doesn't need a Serena,Kim or Justine to kill her. Even Zvonareva alone is enough to beat her.

Anyone with an above average attacking game or with lots of variety can own Wozniacki easily. This Wozniacki girl,always gets lucky with the draws,always not getting a really good player in her quarter. If Kvitova keeps this up,she'll take Wozniacki out in straights.

Indeed, although she did play an awesome match against Vika, although she self-destructed...

But her game is very very good today - it's only been about what half an hour? and she's really speeding through the match.
 
Mrs. Wozniacki this is grass, you cant just play the waiting game, you actually have to do something out there. And this is the girl that idiot editor of Crunch Sports thinks is sure to win half a dozen slams. Advice to anyone looking to place bets, dont go to Crunch Sports for your recommendations.

Won't get past Henin you say? How odd... I thought Henin was eliminated :lol:

At least Venus managed to win her match today. I'm sure Henin will win it next year though!!!
 
Pushniacki again manages to prove why she's so incredibly overrated. two 4th round and a QF so far in three slams for the World no.3? This is bad. Getting owned by the World no.62? Even worse.
 
Kvitova is murdering Wozniacki. My goodness a bagel possibly in the making.

Kvitova stomps all over Wozniacki 6-2 6-0. 45 minute slaughter.

Well at the time Henin had won the first set 6-2 so it was probably assumed it would be her in the semis. As it turns out she won that set so easily only because Kim couldnt keep the ball in court and once Kim became more consistent Henin was easily overpowered. I do agree with the general insinuation though that Venus cant beat another top player looking like she did today, no way. She will have to raise her game a great deal for Kim in the semis, especialy with how well Kim has done against her lately.
 
Li into the QF as well after disposing Pushwanska. Sad day for the pushers. :twisted: Will Li make it to 2 slam semifinals in the same year and match Zheng in the process? She seems to like grass.

I'm backing Li as my dark horse :) If she beats Serena, there's no stopping her.
 
Pironkova??? How the hell did she make the QF?? This girl usually struggles to stay in the top 75. What is the world coming to?
 
I dont see Li beating Serena. She is not mentally tough enough to beat someone like Serena in a slam. If Maria pulls off the upset over Serena she has a good shot against her, she spanked her in a tournament final just last weekend.
 
Sharapova is likely NEVER going to beat Serena in a major again. Serena's venom comes out when Sharapova is her opponent.

I always thought Pironkova was one of the lower-ranked players that actually had the ability to take out players ranked much higher than her. But again,this is grass. What do you expect. Even Kanepi,a qualifier is slashing her way through the draw.

It is funny how we were supposably the trolls for pointing out what an epic fail Henin's "new game" is. She gives up a game that was enough to win her other slams, especialy the French, and ends up being far less a threat at Wimbledon as well than previously with her old game. She and her coach need to seriously reevaluate their plans going forward now.

As for Woz you need to actually hit winners on grass. I am amazed she even made a quarterfinal here last year.

Wozniacki lost to Lisicki in the 4th round last year. The "bump" incident if you remember.
 
Man, I am going to really savor Williams stomping this Kvitova chick into the ground. She's probably the most annoying player to make it past the second round this year. I bet her shrieks are going to wither away into a sad whimper three or four games into the ass whooping we're going to witness on Thursday.

Also, that stuff with Kanepi was some straight up hardcore self-destruction. She could barely get the ball in the court after she was up four-nothing.
