Who will end the year as the womens year end #1. Here are the current ranking points:

It would appear Wozniacki, Serena, Kim, Vera, and Venus all have a shot at it. Here are some of my thoughts on each at this point:
Wozniacki- good chance she will play many events and do pretty well at each and gain a hollow year end #1 ranking with no Slam wins or finals.
Serena- not sure when she will be back but she might be able to get it just by winning the WTA Championships
Clijsters- only has Beijing scheduled for the fall and she might well tank it. She doesnt seem motivated to play often or play much in that part of the year anymore. Like Serena though a win at the WTA Championships could do it.
Zvonareva- has a shot if she continues to play well and does better than Woz.
Venus- if she cares to play often enough and posts some strong results especialy at the WTA Championships could do it.
