Won't be there new [Tecnifibre 315 "LTD"] on 2015 ?

I did read that Tecnifibre's gonna release the 'new' Tecni 315 LTD on 2015 sometimes, from somewhere thread here, written by Official Tecnifibre something..! (at this time I cannot find the comment..)

I know there are 315 lines on 2015, but it is Dynacore - and is way more stiff than the LTD lineage.. I mean I read that the 'ltd' 315 will be shown up on 2015, succeeding the 'Tecnifibre 315 ltd' with almost same spec.

But now the year 2015 has passed almost half and no news I've heard about them.. anyone knows?

And I also wanna ask to 315 LTD users,
Are there any common issues of "Quality Control" things on this frame?
One of my friend told me that on 2013 when the frame first released from Tecnifibre, he read some comments abut racket head size, head SHAPE, weight, etc.
weight balance, - they are OK. by name of tolerance.
but I was astonished that the frame head shape is different among the rackets. He told me there are shapes from oval to circular...

No one around me uses Tecni frames, so here is the only place I can lean on.
Thankyou for advance.

I have 4 of them, no problems with head shape or anything else quality wise. 3 are within a gram of one another as far as weight. The forth is about 6g lighter than the other 3. Normal variance for most brands.

I'd be nice if they keep making it as-is. I'm afraid they will make it stiffer, which will eliminate the feature many of us love about it.

Tech isn't making a new 315 LTD. They are just going to keep stocking the regular LTD. That being said they ARE bringing out a new 315 NON-LTD.

Works for me. Do you know if they are still producing them, or just gonna sell out their inventory. If its the latter I may pick up a few more new and just throw them in the closet for the future.

wow. thanks dnj30
well but haven't you heard about the quality issues, ever?

also glad to hear that there will be no more new versions and they'll keep the LTD line on market.. think I will try them sooner

anyway,
is the 16 mains much more popular than the 18 mains in TW?

I am really interested in this rackets..

I do remember reading a post from someone here who had a problem with the head shape of one of his ltd's. Other than that I haven't heard other complaints. As far as weight variances between different frames of the same model, thats the way it is with all companies(except Pacific). If you buy new from TW you can avoid that by requesting similar weight frames. I never buy new, so I do my best to match them myself with lead which is pretty easy.
Can't say which string pattern is more popular. Personally I've always preferred open string patterns. Its very nice that tec offers both string patterns in the same frame. Most other brands don't.

oh thanks alot.

and one more question,
I believe that the 315 ltd has a 'flat octagon' shaped grip like the old HEAD rackets, isn't it weird / or hard to hold the western grip?
I'm not familiar with the HEAD original grip shapes, so..

Can they be easily replaced by 'regular octagon' shaped grip, which is today's HEAD's frames (such as Speed lines..etc) are able to lately?

Thankyou in advanced.

Yes you can switch the pallets. I use an extreme semi western and it is no issue. The key is to make sure you are using the right size grip. When I used a 3/8ths Head grip I hated it, but the 1/4 feels perfect.

I'll defer to others on grip shape issues, only to say that I've tried numerous racquets and brands (Head, Wilson, Babolat, Prince, Donnay, Yonex, Volkl, Tecnifibre) and the grip shape has never been an issue for me. And, I'll echo PP's comments on grip size. I recently dropped from 3/8 to 1/4 and think it feels much better. I can use 3/8, but there is definitely a difference. Whatever your own optima/preferred grip size is, I'd suggest trying a few different ones to figure that out.

As for QC, Tecnifibre is fine. No issues with varying head shapes. No issues with weight variation. I own 3 Ltds - two were 318 g and one was 314 g. Everything I've ever got from them is good quality and as advertised.

There's a gigantic thread specifically devoted to this frame. I'd suggest checking it out. It's a good mine of information for either version of this great frame.
