My older dog I gave up for adoption two years ago used to howl at the TV every time Rudy Maxa's Smart Travels musical theme played...it was so hilarious I would howl with him!

I'm not sure what set him off but it was clockwork...as soon as the first horns sounded in the intro he would run to the TV set and sit at attention and then bray so loud!

The poor boy is now battling terminal lymphoma...the new owners are having him undergo chemo to prolong his life but the vets say he has less than a year before he'll need to be put down. I hope to see him when they return south to Florida from New Jersey. I will play this for him when we are reunited.

A great-looking dog hanging out on a cool-looking car in a nice as rice neighborhood felt the breeze, sniffed the nighttime air, and proceeded to lie on the balcony where the TV could be heard.

It's not gated in the sense you have gated communities.
It's just a house with three floors, each owned by different owners. I own the ground floor (what you call the first floor in the US). That big car belongs to the 2nd floor owner (your third floor).
This large car means that the gate cannot be closed.
Anyway, my children spend most of their summer days inside my small two-car parking lot. They sleep on the stairs preventing any new comer from coming in or going out.

Yesterday, a courier guy phoned me from outside saying he was afraid of entering due to the two dogs sleeping in the drive way :D
In winter, they hang out wherever they can catch some sun, which is not easy due to the tall houses blocking the sun.

"Put On Your High Heeled Sneakers" was a blues song written and recorded by Tommy Tucker in 1963. Some of the artists that have covered it include Buddy Guy, Jose Feliciano, Stevie Wonder and The King himself, Mr. Elvis Presley.

I reckon they are, but Moria Shearer impressed me with her dancing in the movie, "The Red Shoes." It's about a ballerina who, given red pointe shoes by a possessed shoemaker, finds she cannot stop dancing with the red shoes on, but can't remove them. She finally dies of exhaustion.

(That's the plot as I remember it, anyway).

Spike Lee as Mars Blackmon may have been Nike's greatest pitchman ever in the classicTV commercials with His Airness selling the new Air Jordan basketball shoes. Thirty years later we still think, "It's gotta be the shoes!"

Pink and green M&Ms and Moravian sugar cakes were the cat's pajamas at my daughter's slumber party.

Peanut M&Ms are my go to when watching a film, which I smuggle into the theater. I will usually have coffee with them.

My first customer tonight paid me cash and gave me a small bag of M&M's. As I enjoyed a handful earlier, I thought of the '61 NY Yankees and the chase to top Babe Ruth's season record of 60 home runs by the M&M boys, Mantle and Maris. The guy named Roger broke the record in the last game of the season...Maris 61, Mantle 54.

Roger Maris would be a nice restaurant chain. Don't know about Mickey Mantle, guess no one would take them seriously... No offense, it just is!

Maris became a local beer distributor in Gainesville FL after he retired. He developed a friendship with the Busch family, owners of the St Louis Cardinals, the team with which he finished his MLB career.
