IHOP is a California chain, possible national, that I have visited for breakfast in San Diego. They serve a pretty good veggie omelette. Time for breakfast.

Poor Cheetah...the forgotten man in the very large shadow ca.s.st by the Mira Mesa Maestro during his epic Technicolor Pachydermal Ballet performance.
You used to be able to play for free at Torrey Pines after seven; I once desecrated those links.
Cheat days are the exception to the norm when it comes to Marloes, the dos and don'ts is not applicable.
I do a dos after a donut binge whiff srshs at an AYCE pastry joynt.
I'll cheat with Marloes and friend.

The ancestors of srshs were known to honor the Hindu goddess of food Annapurna by building giant samosa shaped temples, many of which were built using Egyptian slave labor. One of those slaves escaped and returned to his home on the Nile to become the vizier to Cheops. Hemiunu was his name and he is responsible for the design of the first of the Great Pyramids.

Burritos and tacos are done very well in Del Mar by Roberto’s according to our expert @Mike Bulgakov but srshs claims he is not a fan of Mexican cuisine so we donut have review from the nearby Maestro of the Mira Mesa Manor.
I don't want to be on the record as recommending Roberto's, which was my San Diego fast food vice. It's a local chain, and there used to be one in Solana Beach (just north of Del Mar) that I would go to after tennis or swimming in the ocean. Their "Lite Veggie" burrito was comfort food as I sat outside. The Del Mar location is also nice, on the other side of town.

Lite Burrito
Pinto beans, rice, sautéed onions & bell peppers, guacamole, salsa fresca

En Fuego, an easy walk from where I stay in Del Mar, is really good, if you like that style of Mexican cuisine.

One of the many great opening lines in literature.

“Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta.

James Mason was a great actor noted for his role as Humbert Humbert in the movie version of Lolita directed by Stanley Kubrick. It was his second film working with a directorial icon, having played the villain Phillip Vandamn in Hitchcock’s classic North By Northwest.

Both Natalie Portman and Natalie Wood played strippers in films during their careers and were child film stars prior to their more adult oriented roles; Wood starred as Gypsy Rose Lee in the titular role of Gypsy while Portman played the mysterious Alice Ayres/Jane Jones character in Closer.

Port-style wine will get you closer to a state of utter incoherence if consumed in large quantities,

but if you Wood like to get there cheaper, take the Night Train.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll be around there next week for work.

If you are in Del Mar:

Pacifica is pretty good, but gets packed with people down from L.A. on weekends.

Sbicca is a small place near the beach with decent food.

Jake's has a nice view of the beach and ocean, but is more of a romantic setting. CoCo Vandeweghe lives nearby, so if she asks you out, you two can get a nice table by the window.

Spices Thai Cafe Del Mar is a bit inland, but has great Thai food at a fair price. It's very popular for lunch, and @sureshs has ben known to dine there.
