Would 2008's Nadal have won Wimbledon 1992?

Would Nadal's 2008 version have won Wimbledon 1992 without facing Sampras?

  • It's a purely hypothetical question. Nobody really knows.

I agree, he may win or may not win wimbledon in the 90s in the place of Agassi. Its tough to say definitively.
Yes, I am not saying anything definitively.

Goran's been consistent, that can't be denied. I only wonder what happens to the confidence when you get repeatedly hammered in the clay season and a player that was not supposed on grass is staring down in the semi's and finals, something thats happened to Federer.

You really don't have to remind us every day that you don't rate him highly. We get it.

You infer too much broski. I don't have a problem with someone saying Djokovic could/what was said, I have a problem with everyone else being able to win except Nadal which is biased b.s in a hypothetical situation.

Djokovic loses plenty of hypothetical matches in this place too, your boy is not alone there. Personally I do think people are selling Nadal short especially at some events outside of clay, at his best he is very good on pretty much all surfaces.

If people think Nadal can win Wimbledon in the 90's, returning from 10m behind the baseline, and trying to hit passing shots on that low skidding courts where you barely saw any rallies, with inferior technology (compared to now), they are utterly deluded.

He wouldn't be 10 feet behind the baseline, that's the whole point.

It's wonderful to see how people inexplicably think that a 2 time Wimbledon champion and 5 time finalist would be useless on grass in any era.
If he'd grown up in that generation, he'd have adapted to the gut strings and faster grass and whatever else.

I've always held the opinion that great players find a way in any era.
