Would a poly cross minimize string movement?

I have used poly (main) and multi or syn gut (cross) hybrids before. The strings do not move much in these hybrids but the string bed is a little too stiff for me.

When I use all multi or syn gut, the mains move too much after 3 - 5 hours of hitting. If I install a poly cross, would that minimize the main strings moving?

TIA.

I would recommend going back to the poly main and syn gut cross and then lowering the tension on the main. Also, try a softer poly.

I am a big fan of prince synthetic gut with duraflex, but like you, I don't like the fact that the string moves so much.

Right now, I am experimenting with prince polygut 17g on the main with psgd 17g on the cross. Polygut is supposed to be a really soft poly, but since this is my very first poly, I have no point of reference.

Anyway, so far so good. It's not too stiff (I did lower the tension by 3 lbs) and plays well. It gives me more twist on my kick serves and allows me to hit my ground strokes flatter and still keep the ball in.

Pro Hurricane is supposedly a very stiff and harsh poly. But since this is my very first poly, I have no point of reference.
