Serena can't beat current men's top 200, for sure--any day!

Retired John would still beat up current women's no.1 handily.

Anyway, Mac doesn't move well these days. With that that male advantage gone and no advantage for Mac in terms of power, I don't really see where Mac has a huge advantage. Of course he's going to be at the net, but Serena moves well and will get volleys that aren't well placed. She can also pass Mac. Her serve is good enough to make it hard for him to move forward in the first place.

I'd bet Serena would win the match and quite handily. A few years ago when Mac was moving better, he would have won, but not today.

On a good day, a 5.0 - 5.5 can definitely beat someone in the low 300 and in some special days they can dismantle a 200th rank player [a top of the crop college player can easily be in the top 400; high 300]. However, a 5.0 will get annihilated by Serena, the same way they will be annihilated by Jonnhy Mac.

There's a WORLD of difference between a strong, athletic 5.0 male and a 5.0 female.

Serena wouldn't annihilate a solid 5.0 male, period.
