-It ends tonight, so I'm going to go out for a hitting session and see how I do. But, I'm 12 and this would probably be my only tournament for 12 Singles being October is my birth month. It's a Open tournament though, 8 players in my division. From what I see, all of them are playing their first USTA tournament too, but the Open part worrys me because I'd face the risk of playing a kid that's a 4.0 or something. :(

-This one's a Satellite so I am more relieved with joining this one. But this will have to be in the 14s Divsion, and I'm not sure if I could handle the pace if I'm 5'5" and 100 pounds. Oh, and if it helps, my NTRP would be around 2.5-3.0.

So, what tournament(s) do you think would be good for me or should I join and just try my best?

I would go with the second one, the just give a shot and if you lose you lose but every usta game I play I learn from my mistakes and get better if I'm losing.

What do you guys think about this instead? It's at the high school, and my middle school is right next to it so it's convenient. Only thing I'm concerned is if Novice would be too high of a level for me?

If I rated my strokes each I would guess:
-Nearly 3.0 on forehand
-Nearly 3.0 on backhand
-Around 2.5 on serve/returns
-2.0 on volleys

Oh, and if it didn't bother anyone's time, can someone help with the tournament "styles"? i.e. 1st(Lowest)-Satellite, 2nd-etc.

It's labelled as a Novice tourney and it is in feburary. You have plenty of time to practice. I would do it since it will give something to focus on and get ready for. I would be very surprised if you find the level of play too high especially if you put in some serious practice between now and Feb.

I live in the mid-atlantic region and I'm in boys 14's. I'm barely 5 foot and weigh less than a hundred lbs., so I wouldn't worry so much about that. Then again I'm a 4.0 player.... Do whatever tournament that you feel comfortable with, but advice never hurt anyone. The tournament levels are:
L1 Championships, you have to qualify (as in rank) for these (I think)
L2 I don't think that you have to qualify, but you need to have a decent ranking
L3 no qualifying
L4 no qualifying
L5 no qualifying
L6 Satellites
If you have anymore questions just ask

I agree with redsoxrock930 if money is not an issue. My parents pay for my tournaments because they want me to have matchplay.
