I don't know why Wimbledon is so close to French, which leaves no room for Grass season. Wimbledon should be moved to July so you have about 2 months of Grass season in June and July whilst August acts as the holiday period. Then the American HC swing starts in early September to late October.

Why not experiment and turn one indoor tournament into indoor grass and see how that goes before making any decision?

No need for Grass Masters. There used to be 3 Grass Majors and that did not work out. They'd be better off with a mid year 32 field 1500pt indoor carpet or wood, ATP only event. Wembley would be nice to have back but the issue is always who has enough indoor stadium room, only place I see for decent tourney is Melb Park with 3x indoor but that would not be good location. It would be like an expanded WTF like in the good old days. Maybe 2 weeks after Wimbledon. That would at least offset the lack of fast surfaces. There are going to be enough ATP500 as grass build up, a Masters is not a build up event, it should be able to stand on it's own feet in terms of history and prestige.
