I dislike his gamesmanship and those passing shots he used to do from ridiculous angle. I feel like Fed outplayed him in a lot of matches he ended up losing and that his brilliance went unrewarded at times.
Federer had gamesmanship issues as well. Look at his problems earlier in his career he used to be hot headed.
Secondly, Federer always started quicker than Nadal but Nadal got back into the matches and took control in close matches.
You could argue Nadal looked better and could have won so many matches too

Wimbledon 06 and WTF 07? Those were comfortable wins for Fed.

AO 17 could’ve went the other way but Fed won that with winners.

Miami 2005 Fed got lucky with a linecall but shouldn’t have gone 2 sets down.

Sorry. I meant WTF 2006 was close. 2006 Wimbledon was tight apart from set 1. Federer should have probably lost set 2 and Nadal would have been 2-1 up with lots more confidence. Federer went for broke in AO 2017. But Nadal hit less UFs and played safer which is understandable due to the 5 hour Dimi. Still close Nadal lead 3-1 in set 5 with so many chances.
Agree on Miami 2005 though. Nadal was also up 6-2 and 15-40 in Federer serve on Hamburg so he could have won that one too.

You don't want to learn, you want to defend Nadal. That's a different matter.
OK, I will not defend him anymore, now that you made me see the truth.
The most effective cheater of all time who won 31 M1000’s, 10 RGs,11 MonteCarlos, the best player ever on clay.
It’s impressive how he got away with it, cheating here and there, skipping tournaments, faking injuries, influencing umpires, he is a master of deceit. If he didn’t cheat he wouldn’t have accomplished even half of that. To make all this worse, he even cheated in keeping his hair on with that treatment. Shame on him.

It is very simple.

If he didn't need to cheat in order to win, he wouldn't have cheated systematically, because Nadal does everything on the court with one purpose only.

The rest is fanboys' dreams.

How old are you? 14?

exactly it’s not like he’s a one-dimensional clay moonballing specialist who’s grunting, picking his *ss and cheating by taking 25+++ sec between each point, taking fake MTOs when down on score and is known for having benefited from « TUEs » allowing him to take PEDs.

Fed devotee, you posted yet another lie about Rafa, as usual.
You are obvioulsy following in someone's footsteps who said a long time ago: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."

What he said is lie exactly? Can you specify

This is very much a pro-Fed forum - from posters to the moderators. Pretty much like the tennis industry in general.

Who's they? The people who like Nadal? That does seem to be sound advice.
Actually, the advice is intended for almost everyone discussing here in these forums: the zealots and the haters.
The discussions are lacking of common sense every day more and more. And that is so much fun.

I am a Federer fan who tries to be rational, and does not support that Nadal and his achieviements are dissed. Nor the disrespect to clay court tennis I am seeing around here lately.
With that stance, I feel that I am starting to be hated a little bit.
The problem with the center and the polarization. Same as politics.

Fed devotee, I wonder who you are trying to fool with the stories you are fabricating.

This is an example of The "Injury":

I think a lot of people also associate Nadal with with PEDs similar to Bonds in baseball. Like Bonds he's never been caught and there's no proof but a lot of people suspect he's used.

And the other elite players have never used a PED? Please!

WTF 2006 was nowhere as close as the scoreline indicated. If Fed didn't go on mental walkabout after he absolutely dominated Nadal the first few games, the first set is 6-3 at best and he had 5-4 0-30 in the 2nd. The only half chance Nadal had in that match was a break point in the 2nd that Fed saved in about 2 seconds, yet somehow Nadal was close to winning or looked close to winning? Not that you watched the match or Wimbledon 2006 where Fed raised his game and nearly dealt Nadal a breadstick after Nadal actually won a set. But yeah, I'm sure Nadal goes up 2-1 if he wins the 2nd. That match wasn't closer than other similar dynamic Fed slam finals such as 05 or 06 USO.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Bonds end up being caught for PED usage or didn't he admit to it or something?

If Fed had lost the 2nd set, it would have been 1-1, not 2-1 for Nadal. The way dynamics of the match work, you can't just assume Nadal also wins the 3d if he had won the 2nd one.

Fed's response to actually losing a set in that match was to race to a 5-1 lead in the next, very different to letting up a bit mentally after having a 2-0 set lead in the final.

Today i looked at reddit, tennis threads I'm not a user of reddit, i saw that its much more normal place. In general here even in usual topics for no reason many spread their hate to Nadal it's just ridiculous. But i like the easy use of TTW.

Didnt have 10hours. Watched parts of it, have seen better matches.

If fed was playing good he would of beat rafa in 3, not sure why people claim he had a good day. I guess its the scoreline.
As it seen from 06 final let alone 07.
Hardly.

The greatest match stuff came from: a) Fed's streak of titles; b) it was played at Wimbledon - the hallowed grounds of our sport; c) the style matchup - Fed the graceful; Rafa the bull; d) the ups and downs of the match; e) the late finish and score.

As far as quality, AO 2017 F was much better. And even more dramatic - they split sets; Fed losing the 4th and getting broken 1st in the 5th and looking done; but comes back to break not once but twice and win it. And match point on a Hawkeye challenge.

TTW never fails to amaze. Arrogance of some fans...
