First it was adios to Ricardo Sanchez, then Adjö to Thomas Johansson, and now the same message has been conveyed to Thomas Högstedt.

Cooperation between the otherwise reputable Swedish coach and Danish Caroline Wozniacki is over after just over three months.

A cooperation according to Ekstra Bladet information has beaten deep cracks in the recent past with sharp exchanges between coach and player, and a line of communication between those who suddenly died completely.

The latter meant that Caroline Wozniacki last Thursday was without either coach or hittingpartner in Dubai - and without being able to get hold of Högstedt.

- Even before the Australian Open, we knew that the cooperation would hardly hold over time. Caroline enjoyed it, but she was willing to give it one more try.

- Since the communication broke down between them, and he was not quite clear about his plans. Caroline thought he was going to Dubai, and so instead she got to know that he had gone on holiday.

It's an important time in the season for Caroline and I know it frustrated her. It ended up also being the straw that broke the camel's back, says her manager John Tobias of Ekstra Bladet.

- I gave it really a chance, says Caroline Wozniacki from Dubai, where she is these days instead train with his father.

She has already set her sights on a new coach. See who replacing Högstedt in Ekstra Bladet Thursday.

Wozniacki should just marry Rory, punch out a few kids and just enjoy the millions her husband is going to make for the next 30+ years. Just like Mirka.

She should just retire and become Mrs. Rory. He will still win more majors, millions for the couple, and she can be famous and glamorous posing as his hot girl at all those tournaments and still milk the attention and limelight she craves. Her best days on the court are long in the past. She will never come anywhere in the same stratosphere as her 2009-2011 level success. She is a multi millioniare and set for life.

Dutch translation? I think Danish translation... I wish Wozniacki was Dutch!!

But strange how this apparently unraveled.. The coach refused to work with her any longer and didn't even travel to Dubai.

Didn't know she was going trough so many coaches.. Does any one know what the problem with Wozniacki is? I can imagine it is hard working with a girl like her, that just broke up with her boyfriend and not so long ago was at the top of the ranking and then took a big tumble.

But she seems like such a nice girl.. :-|

I thought her relationship ended?

LOL. That was a fake story.

She actually got engaged a few weeks after that bogus story came out.

No problem, thanx for posting the article.

Still wonder if there is any consensus on what the problem with Wozniacki is. Is she just a pain to work with? Again, she seems like a really nice girl..

you're welcome...and who knows?... that's what everybody seems to be wondering...obviously the game seemed to pass her by pretty quickly in terms of power and big and aggressive backcourt hitting...passed by meaning what it takes to win slams....she and her coach need to be on the same page about how much she has to change her game to compete

plus, there's the father, so it always seems to be a triangle situation too

I follow golf very superficially, so, correct me if I'm wrong, but I had the impression HE isn't exactly lighting it up like the Days of Old, either. Seems like they were both Kryptonite to each other's career. Matter of fact, I thought he gave her the boot after she tweeted an unflattering picture of him...

"Hot girl?" Yuck. Anyway, I asked you to provide the link where you "quoted" me as saying I don't recall saying, and you disappeared like a fart in the wind. Now you're posting all over the place, but, still no link. I guess we can draw our own conclusions about your credibility, huh?

+1 I'm guessing this is the main problem with Caro's attempts to find a coach and frankly with her diminishing returns. She keeps sliding back to Dad and he appears reluctant to completely get out of the coaching business.

A co-dependency no better than a parent insisting that a grown daughter become independent and move out - but paying for her every indulgence.

this is from SI, taken from above I think...

Caroline Wozniacki has fired coach Thomas Hogstedt after just three months of working together, according to Danish website Ekstra Bladet. The former No. 1 player in the world hired Hogstedt at the end of October last fall and the pair worked together through the off-season and collaborated for just two tournaments in January before calling it quits. According to Ekstra Bladet, the two never established any chemistry and when Hogstedt decided to take an impromptu vacation instead of heading to Dubai to train with Wozniacki, the Dane took it as the last straw in their already strained relationship.

Add Hogstedt to the growing list of coaches that never gelled with the Wozniacki team. Coached by her father Piotr for most of her career, Wozniacki has never succeeded in bringing in outside help. In February 2012, Wozniacki fired Ricardo Sanchez, the man who took Jelena Jankovic to No. 1, after she lost in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open to No. 1 Kim Clijsters. The two had worked together for just two months. She hired former Australian Open finalist Thomas Johansson as a part-time coach later that summer, but that relationship ended after four months.

This season, a shoulder injury forced Wozniacki to withdraw from her first tournament at the Brisbane International and she struggled when she returned to action. At her first tournament of the year at the Sydney International, Wozniacki lost in the second round to No. 27 Lucie Safarova, 6-4, 7-6 (9). She fared just one round better at the Australian Open, where she lost in the third round to No. 38 Garbine Muguruza, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3. Wozniacki has now failed to make it past the third round in seven of her last eight Slam appearances and on Monday she dropped out of the top 10.

Wozniacki is training in Dubai with her father but she may have already signed a new coach. Ekstra Bladet expects to announce the hiring on Thursday.

why put Mirka in it?

to hear it told...even after she and roger began dating, she played on for a year til a foot injury made it nearly impossible to continue. Also, Mirka was also Roger's manager for a while and handling his PR. You act like all she did was watch his matches. Im sensing a veiled contempt for the fairer sex...
