I'm watching. Blisters hamper her movement. Crappy NIKE shoes strike again. She's playing it out.Anyone watching Badosa/Ostapenko? Is Paula injured again???
I vaguely remember seeing the sister's name before. Then the other day saw the two playing and I thought I saw Leylah when I saw the sister and soon realized the sisters! The younger sister held her own in doubles. But, Leylah was definitely the captain and the finisher of many of the rallies. It was a decent doubles to watch.I had no idea LAF had a tennis playing sister!
I had one and it gave me so much pain - never again.I'm watching. Blisters hamper her movement. Crappy NIKE shoes strike again. She's playing it out.
didn't watch, judging by the serve stats, that's impressive, you probably would think it be the otherway around!3 & 4 for Elise, impressive.
Glad for mertens. How is Konjuh doing? Haven’t seen her name in a long whiledidn't watch, judging by the serve stats, that's impressive, you probably would think it be the otherway around!
Aces: 1 vs 6
First serve win: 70% vs 81%
she's done. I don't think she will be back to high level.Glad for mertens. How is Konjuh doing? Haven’t seen her name in a long while
Didn't know Zhang Shuai is still in doubles and only withdrew from singles. Usually it's the other way around or the player will withdraw from the whole tournament.Zhang Shuai out, Leylah gets Hibino instead.
Mertens can be really solid, especially on hard court. Went deep in the USO a few times, and probably should have. beaten Gauff last year.thought this would be the start of a big Osaka comeback this summer
She's a mental midget. All or nothing with her. Today she had nothing. I generally like her.Yeah, don’t think ol’ Jelena is real interested in staying in Toronto any longer.
Gauff won't be one of them.5 Americans in QF wow
WTA & ATP with massive egg on their face not making any form of adjustment to the calendar to factor in the Olympics. Both Canadian tournaments this week are disasters.
Kudos to Shnaider, who was in the Olympic Doubles final just 5 days ago. She seems to have bucked the trend of players not backing up from the Olympics.Maybe we should pay more attention to Diana Schnaider, she just beat Gauff in straight sets. Starting this year at No. 60, Schnaider has won 3 titles on 3 different surfaces and her ranking already rose No. 23, very close to top 20 debut.
