Bencic was complaining to the umpire that Gauff's team was disturbing her serve, there were some exchanges between her and Gauff, Bencic then told Gauff she was speaking to the umpire not her or her team. :happydevil:
I just hope she doesnt say 'lack of class' from Gauff or her team. An avalanche will come on her

AA breaks for 5-4 in the 3rd with big returns and serves it out
AA wins 6-4 in 3rd over muchova

Swiatek seems to want to out do Sabalenka in the aggression department anymore...hell, Aryna is steadier than Iga many times now...Swiatek's truly a mess today, bageled in the third

American Emma serving 3rd set bagel beatdown to iga lol

iga just fell apart her twitch on the right side of her face was non stop she usually tries to fight back but she just look stunned and lost haven't seen that from her in awhile. not a good day for iga

Love to see it!

Probably the best match Navarro has played this year, not that it's a particularly high standard as she had a horrendous season. Even on her worst day Iga should be able to outgrind someone like Emma, but she refuses to do anything other than hit hard-hit harder these days.

Looking forward to Anisimova vs Gauff to see who is really the current top dog among the American women.

Coco wins, she just out-athlete'd Belinda.
Um, that's how she wins pretty much every match against the better competition (and not underpowered players like Lys)

Gauff's game style is perfect for the modern WTA tour. Holds up well to mental weakness, and holds up well against the big bashers that don't have variety or margin.

Lovely Linda won 3 and 4.

Interesting new doubles pair there: Hon & Muchova !! They have had three fairly easy wins against formidable pairs and are about to meet another surprise pair of Kato/Stollar in the semis. So after all Stollar with some actual tennis success - earlier she has been just success among the teenage guys crazy about trashbabes!

Jessie Pegula beats Emma "baby Pegula" Navarro once again after Emma stole the first set! This match had it all ... I felt like this tournament is sort of a come backer for Emma and she seems to be regaining her form after a somewhat disappointing season; but it's also a turn around time for Jessie on this run after the US Open; nice to see these two women playing some great tennis once again! And say what? We have 3 out of 4 spots in the Semis with American women!! It's like to the '70s and 80's all over again! Can't wait to see Coco v Amanda! What a matchup that will be!

watching highlights I see Anisimova had her ankle strapped in the Paolini match, but didn't in the Muchova match. anyone know what happened? is it just precautionary?
