So many break points were wasted by Giorgi in the 6th game.

She failed to break Alexandrova after so many deuces and breakpoints.

Giorgi needs a new coach.
 
Giorgi chucked her racquet to the ground with disgust.

He Giomila dress is pretty, but her game is not.

Looks like Giorgi has found her range. Held her serve to love in the previous game. Now looking to break for the second time..deuce.

She's up 3-0 in the second set. Breakpoint again Giorgi.
 
Alexandrova can't do anything right in the second set. Double fault to give Giorgi another break. Giorgi serving for the second set at 5-1
 
Bencic serving to force a third set breaker against Kudermetova. Was down a break earlier in the set but pulled it back.

Some great constructive points and great forward transition game and volleys by Kvitova! I love her aggressive all court game!
 
Thought Mertens was starting to turn around her singles results a bit, but now she's been broken from up 40-0 in the first game of this third set. Martic putting her in a lot of uncomfortable spots, but still pretty bad from Elise.
 
But just like that Mertens breaks back. Seeing a bit more variety in this match with Martic playing the slice a lot, but it's not always effective.
 
Kontaveit looks to be on her way to another win over Bencic. Kontaveit hasn't dropped a set to her in two meetings, and she's up a set and a break in this one. First set could have gone either way though.
 
Why does Maria make it so hard on us fans of hers? She struggles so much with closing matches out....

I would prefer for her to play Ostapenko in the final because I simply can't bear her losing yet again to Kontaveit ):

Kontaveit’s 20-match indoor winning streak began with title runs last year at Ostrava, Moscow and Cluj-Napoca, a rich vein of form which propelled her to a Top 10 debut and a spot at the season-ending Akron WTA Finals, where she finished as runner-up to Garbine Muguruza.

With yet another indoor title under her belt after this week’s exploits, she becomes just the sixth player with at least 20 consecutive indoor wins since 1989. The others are:
