I say Andreescu.
Osaka is at her best level again lately but she isn't very stable. She won the OA and Beijing but between February and August, there was practically nothing (reminds me so much of Wozniacki last year BTW). And last year she also played well in Beijing but then lost her 3 matches.
Halep comes back from injuries since the USO and she has never had good results in the WTA finals.
Barty is a great number 1, she deserves this position and was the most regular this year. But honestly, she can lose agaist about everyone if they're in a good day. If someone is better than her on a match, she doesn't have a Plan B to fight back,
Pliskova, I'm not impressed at all. She may be number 2 but she always scews up in the big events.
Svitolina was quite lucky last year. She deserved the title but I don't see her wining again. Like Barty, she can lose against about anyone if the opponent is in a good day.
Bencic isn't stable enough. Still very young and not much experience with the top-10. Except Osaka, she hasnt beaten one since Indian Wells.
I say it's between Andreescu and Kvitova. Andreescu lost against Osaka in Beijing but she seems unbeatable most of the times. She isn't afraid of anyone. Kvitova, if she plays her best tennis. She was quite good in Wuhan and Beijing. And she's already won the title in 2011. She is my 2nd favorite for the title. I say 1) Andreescu, 2) Kvitova, 3) Osaka, 4) Barty, 5) Svitolina, 6) Bencic, 7) Pliskova, 8) Halep.
