That's a great picture
Is the top phot real or a photoshop?

It is quite clearly fake. I know Andreeva is young but she wasn’t the coin flip kid for Rybakina/Sabalenka’s Aus Open final 2 years ago lol. Here’s the real image.

@Kralingen I’m definitely making a bet on her for FO
Your prediction on her winning one of the slams already this year has a good ground after yesterday. But despite her very good run last year in FO, I think there is just too many players in Roland Garros that can beat her, so I can't see her taking the first slam there. US open would be my bet if she can conquer a slam already this year, but rather I'd put my money on that she gets her first slam next year.

She’ll get it at a younger age than Coco

Conchita and Mira seem to be a very good fit that can achieve lots more, a case of what might have been for Muguruza.

Conchita is vastly underestimated as player, had to face the greatest competition of all time imho. Ironically fitness was probably her weak point and Andreeva seems determined to avoid that.

she has quiete similar style no? only mirras forehand is more consistent

Great username, both win return points at an elite level. The Siberian has indeed the better forehand and more court craft while the American defends even better and has been steadier.

Sonobe lost in first round of qualies in Miami

Disappointing. But with a game like that, she is bound to be inconsistent I guess especially at this age.
Ksenia Efremova, 15, is also very talented and lost at first-round qualies. She will be 16 soon though and Mirra achieved 4R in Madrid age just 16.

A little late to the party, but so happy for Andreeva. She really is such a fun and refreshing personality to have on the scene!

Incredible really and the sport could really use a breakout star like her, everything about her demeanor and game is star quality.

Now if only Fonseca can follow this footprint because the mens game even moreso needs a breakout star in the worst way.
Wait, what? Alcaraz and Sinner aren't breakout stars? I get that Sinner isn't everyone's cup of tea, but Alcaraz plays tennis that is really exciting to watch.

What do you think Fonseca could bring to the sport that Alcaraz doesn't already bring, besides the South American market?

And now we're gonna have to see all the haters emerge in this era where people are as eager to witness the next Graf/Serena as they are to see young talents fail.
I don't know about that. Those people are always out there, but it helps when you don't have the media going over the top about her, and hyping her to a nauseating extent.

It gets tiresome when announcers are saying things about Guaff that are blatantly untrue based on what we all see on our TV screens as they are saying it!

And Andreeva certainly seems to have a different personality to Gauff. I think both know that they were picked out from a young age to be future stars, but Gauff seems to think that future is a certainty, and she gets annoyed when it doesn't just come her way. Andreeva does seem stressed by it at times, but she seems to have more of a sense of humor and perspective about it.

To put it another way, when Gauff wins something her attitude seems to be, "of course I won, I'm supposed to win," whereas Andreeva still seems genuinely happy and excited about wins.

I don't see many similarities at all. Andreeva's fundamentals are way better, as is her point construction and her tactics. Gauff is still much quicker, fitter and stronger, and more tenacious mentally. I would go so far as to say they contrast more than they are similar.

both run a lot and make a lot of balls. backhand a little more solid for both. they have the exact same height. they trouble the big hitters by (again) making a lot of balls. both not the biggest hitters but can serve 200kmh+

Ok, yes, they both do those things that you mentioned, but they still do them very differently. Gauff chases balls down and tries to get them back with pace (maybe because she is faster and has more time), while Andreeva tends to try and put them back in a more clever and challenging way. Gauff tries to hit her backhand hard all the time, while Andreeva varies more and goes for more placement. Andreeva's serve probably more consistent, given she won't throw in a match with over 20 DF's.

yeah there are differences of course, still I dont see two more similar players in the top 10 or even top 20 than those two.

Sorry, I originally wrote forehand instead of backhand in my post.

I would say that Sabalenka and Rybakina are more similar than anyone. Both just really hard hitters that rely almost entirely on baseline power and offensive tennis. Swiatek is sorta like that too, but maybe not quite as drastically.

To be honest, besides Sabs, Rybakina, Swiatek, Gauff, Andreeva and Navarro, I'm not even sure who else is even in the top 10 right now!
