Hasn't dropped more than 4 games in those 8 matches. A total of 25 games dropped across 8 matches.

In Gauff's 2R against Uchijama she dropped 16 games alone and that was one match!

Big upset in doubles #2 seed Dabrowski/Routliffe out in straight set.
To Kalinskaya/McNally. Good news, Anna is not going to be distracted by singles matches. Or by Jannik, if that's even still a thing.
Not overly surprised, they got bounced in their first match in Dubai losing to Putintseva/Noskova.
And they also got crushed winning just 3 games in their first match in Doha albeit to Shnaider/Andreeva the Olympic silver medallists.

Sorana still struggling from last night.

Pegula was also not a fan of the court surface. The ball fuzzed up and the points are longer she said during her post-match interview. That's the Plexipave to Laykold change.

Mirra is just too good right now. A bad match up for Tauson. Mirra is faster, gets a lot of balls back, less unforced errors, but still has a lot of power. Slower conditions here also favours her.

Lets see what happens against Muchova in the 4th round. If Muchova plays well, that could be a fight. Muchova is a royal pain for the entire tour when her game clicks.

Penko (#26) out 6-4,6-4. Xinyu with 7 aces!

Interesting handshake exchange at the net. It appeared that Penko's hand "got stuck" to Xinyu's. She appeared to be walking away from the handshake in disgust, after her loss, with her head already turning away while walking, but her hand seemed to still want to stay with the handshake. She then briefly turned back her head towards Xinyu and reclaimed her hand. My guess is Penko was going to give her usual cold fish handshake and Xinyu wasn't having any of that and wanted the real handshake and grabbed Penko's hand longer. :D
Always some drama, Penko is the ultimate net drama queen.

Muchova is always dangerous especially against the top ladies.

But these two met at the United Cup just over two months ago with Iga winning 6-3 6-4. Previous two meetings before that were in 2023 at the Montreal 3R and French Open final with Iga winning in 3.

The only win for Karolina came before both hit their strides and was way back in 2019 in the 1R of Prague with Muchova winning in 3.

But if anyone can do it to Iga, it’s Karolina. Should be juicy.

Why does tennis channel think Garcia v Swiatek will be a good match? Garcia hasn't won a thing, or looked convincing, for a year now.
Just gonna quote myself here, from early last week.

Pegula was also not a fan of the court surface. The ball fuzzed up and the points are longer she said during her post-match interview. That's the Plexipave to Laykold change.
Why is she complaining? She plays some of the most boring, cookie cutter tennis on tour. Does she think she is Sabalenka or something?

Always some drama, Penko is the ultimate net drama queen.
Sounds like it was the other player that actually created the drama. The whole "hold onto someone's hand to force a longer handshake" thing is really silly and lame.
