Wow, strong result for Oudin. She just had another great turn in Fed Cup, too.
Well, at least I will have something to watch while snowed in (again!)...I'm sure someone is streaming this, yes?
Oudin has a shot at going to the semis now that both seeds are out of her quarter. I think this can be the torunament that will turn around her slow start to the season
Doesn't she have to get through Wickmayer, the #3 seed, still?

^^ Thanks for the pics, LG. Did you watch the match? Impressions?
Meanwhile, Yanina seem to have trouble getting past Martic :-?
Suprising that nobody has voted Schiavone to win this tournament!Im really rooting for Shahar as well, i hope she can make it to at least the semis, but she will most likely have to get by Schiavone, which will be tough considering shes in great form recently
here's a post-match quote from yanina: "I was super super tired today. I had a very hard weekend, playing in Fed Cup, so it was very hard for me," Wickmayer said. "She played a very good match. I tried everything I could but my legs weren't there. She was just too good. That's how it is, that's tennis. You win some, you lose some, and today I lost."
youre welcome!...... I was doing something else at the time, just watched with one eye, but according to the announcers Aravane was serving extremely well and rodina just managed to hang in the first set. Second set she got broken by rodina and had her coach come for a visit, then broke back and won the second.
Martic had a medical time out to get her left thigh wrapped, and the announcers were wondering why wickmayer wasn't testing it by trying to move her around. here's a post-match quote from yanina: "I was super super tired today. Keep dreaming  lol Rezai has a long way ahead of her if she wants to win this
Flavia has already beaten her in two easy sets in Auckland this year! And has beaten Francesca in their two previous meetings, so "on paper" should be very able to hurt her.Yeah id say Schiavone is expected to come out of her half of the draw, i dont think her fellow teamate Flavia has anything to hurt her
Well, seems like Aravane didn't handle the pressure very well after all.![]()
