She's the only player to have completed their QF match yesterday after play was cancelled.
Doi/Pavs got just two games done while Osaka/Poots and Giorgi/Mertens didn't even start.
The three winners will have to play both their QF and SF today and the final tomorrow.
With Premier 5 Wuhan starting in a few days and then Premier Mandatory Beijing after that, players might not want to burn themselves out and risk injury.

It's Osaka vs Pavs for final. Pavs is working with Rob (Ex Lucie and Denis coach) and starts to show some result lately.

Just finished the replay.
Putintseva rolled her ankle at 15-40 match point Osaka. She finished the match and Osaka asked why did you finish the match and Putint answer "Because you just one point to go".
Also Osaka's dead is her coach now. Very funny since he always avoid watching her match live.

Tuned out when Stosur was up a set and it was 4-4 in the 2nd, from there it seems Stosur won just 2 more games
Sad to see her lose but still amazing for her to be making finals and she's back in the top 100!
What's crazy (although not really) is that she's made 25 career finals but has only won 9 of them. Real bad percentage there.

Osaka gets the W over Pavlyuchenkova - 2 and 3. This is Naomi's first title since AO2019 and what a moment for her and the Japanese fans to win the Pan Pacific Open on her 3rd attempt of trying. I'm glad she's finally won a title this year, and hopefully she will run with this form throughout the Asian swing and into the WTA Finals.
