Pretty good. Caro's looking like she did when she was a top player. Vika's just better, but we all know that :). She's challenging her though and being somewhat aggressive, which is nice to see.

Last couple games errors have crept into Caro's game. Hope she gets it together. I found myself rooting for her even though I prefer Vika. Just want to see her efforts rewarded so she doesn't backslide into super boring

Woz definitely had the crowd's support last night. We started cheering for Vika because nobody else was. Seems like she often doesn't get any love, and then in the end thanks the crowd for all their support anyway, so we thought we'd make an honest women out of her :) I know I've been spending way too much time in this forum because I thought about yelling "Duncan loves you!" to give him a laugh if he was watching. So sad there was no Li/ARad rematch of Wimbledon.

Somebody go tell Serena that it is illegal to tank a match just cause you don't feel like playing. playing that young Canadian right now.

@Nostradamus ...
Forgot to ask whether you had noticed the inequality in Cincy? :?:

how can anyone with normal hearing not begin hating the screamer who shrieks on every, single stroke? :shock:

She dominates the entire stadium with her vocal cords rather than her tennis ... it's really in everybody's face!

Meanwhile, in Sharapova land......Jimmy Conners got fired today by Maria. Apparently it was his fault that Sloane Stephens beat Maria. :)

Shriekapova is not now, nor ever has been, an American (despite all the American money that was spent on her and her father for years) ..... no, she'll be looking for another russian to kiss her screamin assets ...

It's weird...her and Sharapova's "grunts" don't seem that annoying here. Maybe because they only bother me a little bit to begin with and because I'm farther away than on court mics.

If this tournament is any indication of what other ones are like, then I would say the grunting isn't as distracting as I thought (at least when it's kind of rhythmic like vika's...Masha's last year was over the too, but she seems to have dialed it back a bit this year). Ther is so much noise and distraction here, especially on the outer courts: ump/line calls and music and cheers from other courts, even on the main court you have rude people milling about when they shouldn't and having full on living room conversations during points, fireworks,cheers from the neighbor court, music from the food court, etc. I think over the years these people develop an amazing ability to focus and block out things. If you don't develop that ability you'll never make it. I think it's more annoying to viewers because the mics are set up on court to block out as much of that other noise as they can, so on court noises seem louder.
