"Naomi is deserving champion and Serena at all times plays with class and makes us proud".
Proud of what? Is it class in WTA meaning - we all watched it, the worst moment in tennis. Serena's disgusting behaviour and all officials left Naomi alone, you know what i mean.
So what is it? How it could be? They support a certain person whatever she will do? It looks like this.

You should be worried about your reaction, damn it was days ago already.
The circlejerking on both sides needs to stop.

Did Serena take it too far. Undoubtedly

Could Ramos have handled the situation a bit better seeing as it's his first Women's final at the US open to officiate? In hindsight maybe.

Was the crowd not behaving the way they should have? Yes.

There are extremes on both sides. However in cases like this it's most likely always in the middle somewhere. However people will flock to one or the other.

I'd like to talk to 100 female fans and 100 male fans before making up my mind about what I saw on Saturday.

100 female fans will most likely be hard to find here, so men will most likely continue to dominate this discussion.
Serena "at all times plays with class"? Shino the Asian foot fault lady would probably disagree for one. I can't imagine anyone agreeing with that statement, unless doing it purely for p.r /agenda purposes.

That, for sure, is over the top.

But she's also not Satan or the anti-Christ.

I'm not sure how it works for you, but often my wife has slants on things that make me stop and think. I can't get her opinion about this matter. She'd rather be tortured than watch more than 30 seconds of a tennis match. ;)

It's kind of funny how lack of class keeps popping up about Williams.

Given that she was indeed born on the wrong side of the tracks, using the 'class card' against her seems mean-spirited.

And somewhat hypocritical, needless to say, given all the 'cards' people like to accuse her of waving at other people.

You should go to your tennis club, or are the women there also a rare occurrence?

Why exactly 100?

My reaction is a reaction of an adequate man. And it was just less than two days. But it's quite important question.
Your answer is very usefull anyway, thank you, Mr. Politeness.
You're welcome. Id still have wings with you :p

Keep having funny, dumb fan of real fake champion, having nothing to be proud of, just ignorance, selfloving, cheating, cheating about being cheater, etc....

Nadal,Djoker and other players said even worse words to Ramos, but he did nothing to them.I think this is why Serena called Ramos " sexist" and WTA stands by her side.

PS:1)At the 2016 French Open, Australian player Nick Kyrgios blew up at Ramos after he was given a warning for raising his voice at a ballboy. "That's bulls**t. Are you kidding?" Kyrgios shouted at the official. "Bulls**t, f***ing bulls**t." He was given neither a point penalty, nor a game penalty.
2)At the 2017 French Open, former world No. 1 Rafael Nadal threatened Ramos, "Give me the warnings you can, because you will not referee me anymore," he said. Nadal referenced his comments in a post-match press conference. No penalties were given.
3)...
4)Ramos is a COWARD.
Wow nasty comments. Those players should have been defaulted.

Don't waste your ink here and spray with your slobber. Better send all this above mentioned morality sentences to Serena, BJK and other well known agressive persons living by "world-only-for us" rules.

Im not wasting anything, my job is already done :D yall mad :p

Rather predictable-especially in the times we currently live, in most women will back other women up regardless of if they are in the wrong. CoCo was making a fool of herself on Radio 5 Live last night during the men's final-although she didn't say sexism-just that the umpire shouldn't have got involved & 'ruined' the final. Actually CoCo has a much better case for sexism-seeing as she & her doubles partner Barty were not even allowed to make a speech due to them wanting to get the men's final on which beggars belief-unless perhaps being a bit of an entitled twot herself they thought she would use it as a platform to have a pop at Carlos & the organisers.

It's been the same forever, in every field: the rich protect themselves, slap the poor silly and then use nice words telling the poor in their faces that they were not slapped, they were helped while they, the rich are suffering for this.
Oh, and also, Serena is a mother and has a daughter...

We saw what kind of egomaniac Serena is yelling at the umpire ‘Say Sorry’

Crucifying a man because he did his job as per the books ? The guy was really patient and did not throw the game penalty at his whims and fancy

I wish Serena lose every time she steps on a tennis court from this time

Serena is not responsible for massive social inequality, so I am not sure the 'class card' Marxism applies here!

You can just about explain Serena's actions because most players get a little emotional during matches. How do you explain Katrina Adams?

She is a female, a feminist & black-what else needs to be said? She is not going to take the side of a middle aged, white guy no matter if he is right.

Not responsible, but surely part of it and she plays her rich/untouchable card very well. People are afraid to go agains her due to well funded backslash and SJW zealots. In USA I mean, were politically correctness (aka hiding behind the finger) is flourishing.
For us, in the rest of the world, we're free to not give a crap and call it as we see it ;)

43 Don't be an apologist for the haBITCHual GOAT of Rudeness. She's gotten away with murder over the decades. The only tennis player I've ever seen show up for a match too wasted to play 1/4th of the court. And those uncountable pissy interviews where she's nasty to the shills promoting her. You think even Nadal would get away with that crap?! If we're enjoying this too much, TOUGH. They've been covering for her for 20 yrs, but this time she outed herself in front of a couple of hundred-million tennis fans. She LOST in straights to a better player. She LIED about the coaching. She tried GAMESMANSHIT to throw Osaka off, by making several loud self-righteous SCENES. She insulted an (subtext: mean, unfair, white man; didn't work for Hillary, either) umpire doing his job, for less than $500! The Entitlement Queen made $2,000,000 for THAT performance. Now, THAT'S unfair! You, and her army of apologists need to either wake tfu, or STFU. You and the other shills still making excuses for her are embarrassing yourselves.

Female tennis fan here. And did not like what I saw from Serena (and the crowd). Made several posts & liked lots of comments that share my opinion on the situation. I think she was out of line. I think the WTA should stay quiet and seemingly neutral on the subject, otherwise it seems like player favoritism. Ramos was enforcing the rules and if you don't back that up as an organization, the perception that the organization is unbiased goes out the window.

The truth hurts?

Just want it swept aside and forgotten as quickly as possible?

No surprise from the WTA; the Race Card is the 21st Cenury’s Scarlet Letter. I’m sure they were more worried about money than credibility of the sport. Fearing Serena would call for a boycott of advertisers if they didn’t come down on her side.

She’s had problems with female chair umpires.....

It would be about different points of view, if both sides actually made arguments based on logical reasoning. That is not the case here.
Neither extremes here have logical reasoning. On both sides there are outlandish comments made with some more ridiculous than others.
