Alright, we get some of the big names back this week

Ostrava draw

Iga/Badosa/Kontaveit/Sakkari with R1 byes. Bencic v. Genie & Kasatkina v. Emma are fun openers. Rybakina should wax Keys.

Monastir draw

Just like Tallin, don't believe I've heard of Monastir, Tunisia before the other day. Jabeur is top seed, Martic v. Linda Fruhvirtova is a solid R1.

Let's ride, kids.

Rybakina may be too match-weary for Keys. True, Keys is in sub-par form lately, but she still smacks the ball pretty hard.
It'll take three sets for Ryba to win, if she does.

Alexandrova really needs a cheeseburger. I don't think I've ever seen skinnier arms and upper body on a tennis player

Is Madison finnish as far as getting a slam title? Everytime I see her play, I think her game has what it takes to win one but it never seems to arise.

She isn't consistent, is she? It's been five years, but it looks like she still hasn't got over losing that 2017 USO final to Sloane.
Her UFE count needs management....

Mad Keys lost in R1 again after Tallinn. What's wrong with her since Golubic in Tallinn was not too difficult and Rybakina in Ostrava was an opponent who she beat twice this year (2-0 H2H).

Kvitova can be really hard to watch. When she's clicking, great. But as soon as her opponent starts to retrieve decently, it's net, net, long, net, net, long, long, wide, long...pretty ugly stuff.

There will be two interesting "test" matches tomorrow in Ostrava. The first is a test for Raducanu against Kasatkina. The second is Bouchard vs Bencic. Bouchard is 0-2 against Bencic. Bouchard is definitely handpicking her tournaments carefully, as in picking the higher points WTA tournaments since she has a limited number of Protected Ranking entries.

I thought the marks for Raducanu is out already. she still need test?
Ha ha. She's continuously being tested. She did finally managed to get 3 consecutive matches win recently and showed improvements in nerves, and shot tolerance.

I'm also skeptical, but I'm okay to be proven wrong.

Martic beat Fruit in straight sets 2&5. Fruit gained some momentum after being down a set and 0-2 by breaking Martic's serve for the first time in the match but the momentum didn't last until the end of the 2nd set.

I think Martic has too much variety and touch for Fruit just yet. If this was a ballbashing match, Fruit would've blown her away. Martic however is way too smart of a player

DK is so solid. No pace whatsoever, but tenacious like a pit bull and extreme fitness.
ER needs to work on her fitness so much, she has no shot tolerance. Always seems to want to end the point quickly. Probably due to lack of fitness and a more aggressive attacking playing style.
Krejcikova was in the box watching most of the 2nd set. The new Czech tennis queen?

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Bagel Open has just started:

I hope so.
But I turned off the match.
She was way too flaky in the first set.
I could easily see her lose the match still.
