WTA week of 10/3; Ostrava 500 & Monastir 250

Iga just showed off her Hyper Speed. AT hit 2 perfect shots, just to lose both points. Could do nothing but clapped.
 
Yup, Ajla played very well but her legs couldn't withstand being pulled from side to side continuously for over an hour. Wish her a quick recover.

That was a beautiful match to watch. Badosa tried so hard to be quick and nimble. Amazing tennis and tremendous effort. The embrace at the end was beautiful too.:love::love:

I always get Sasnovich and Samsonova confused. Had to google which one had a winning streak this year.
 
Parks 1st serve is an absolute killer. That alone at a high percentage can win her matches. Good stuff considering she made her WTA debut a year ago
 
Raducanu withdraws from next week's Transylvania Open with a wrist injury.
Now it's time to call it an end the season and get to work on conditioning. She is not going to achieve anything of significance if her body can't even hold up during a 250 tournament. The talent is there to be a regular in the Top 20-30 at least but right now she is not robust enough to withstand the demands of the tour.
 
What a performance by Parks! Blistering FH DTL to take the match. Her lack of experience shows at times but she's got a big game and huge serve

Yes, Samsonova is the one with the win streak, and coincidentally, she beat Rybakina in Tokyo just a little less than 3 weeks ago.

Sakkari having so few winners or UEs means she was just content to stand there and not do too much of anything.

I think Maria peaked last year. Maybe too many tough losses deep in tournaments just beat her down mentally, idk. I find her game boring altho she does have a decent kick serve for WTA.
 
Parks and McNally, the 2 American youngsters, both reached QFs in singles will play their QF match as the same team later today.

Typical ballbasher really. Have seen her play maybe 2-3 times. Huge serve but don't feel her accuracy is all that good.

Unforced error machine too, which is a big reason why we usually never see her anywhere.

59 Winners to 26 UEs. Also she's pretty new to the tour. Made her pro debut one year ago and is about to break into the Top 100 in no time. Doesn't shy away from going to the net at the right time either. Gimme someone who can hold her serve consistently any day of the week over the other ballbashers who can't hold their own serve to safe their life.

Two great wins against Pliskova and Sakkari. Lets see what she can do against a Krejcikova who is returning to form
