Excited to see how far Sonya and Naomi go in this event. Sonya had some good results in the exho and Naomi brought film maker to Oz so she better be good.

Well this is a shame. In the UK all ATP and WTA coverage has moved from Amazon to Sky. Not sure you can change court/tournament on Sky! Literally stuck with the one match in Brisbane at mo (Andreeva). Hopefully there's a way around this but too tired to look into it now (1.27am).

@robyrolfo needs to get into new season fighting shape. Giorgi beat Stearn and no words from him. :p
Sorry guys, I don't post much during weekends and holidays. But I did see the match replay today, and I loved the way Giorgi fought back. She was clearly pretty rusty in the first set, and still made her usual number of errors throughout, but she did great to stay calm and composed after losing the first, and after getting broken to open the third. Very happy for her, and glad she knocked Stearns down a peg.

Doesn't look like UK coverage is going to get better anytime soon. We've gone from being able to watch any match on any court (Amazon), to having just one feed that covers both the ATP and the WTA (Sky). Anisimova's match got switched off halfway through so they could show Andy Murray. This is depressing and dismal.

Nice win by Anisimova.
It will be an interesting 2024 if she can play a full season and not be hindered by injuries or layoffs.
There are a lot of layers returning from injury/pregnancy or playing their first full season back having returned midway through last season. It should be more stacked this year. Bencic and Kvitova are off the tour due to pregnancy - I can't think of too many top players who are off injured other than Andreescu. Looking at the schedule for the next couple of weeks it looks like the whole of the top 100 are entered into tournaments.

Not my baby, unfortunately! Karolina Muchova.

Hey @Aussie Darcy didn't know you lived in Brissie. I'm on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland near Maleny and the rain here today has been diabolical. Was meant to be playing this arvo on the coast but....

Anyway enjoy the tennis, I used to live 15 minutes from Tennyson so miss not being so close to the action.

Watching Kenin vs Rodionova on TV and nice to see Ash Barty and baby sitting with John Peers in the stands. Ash - please come back, you'd be top five in 6 months!!

Hope you and your family are safe!

Shoot me a message would love to have a chat.

Rodionova just forced a 2nd set tiebreaker, could get the biggest win of her career here!

Schedule of play didn’t work for me today but just got to see Rybakina and Sabalenka seperately having hits on the outside courts now that rain has stopped. Osaka was in the crowd watching Kenin v Rodionova earlier too. And now watching Azarenka v Kalinskaya. Not too bad of a day.

Sorry, stupid idiot here bumped last years thread. Bringing the right one back to the top.

Vika on fire. 4-0 double break. She is just really good in Brisbane. 2009 and 2016 champ plus runner up in 2014

Raducanu back with her first match is many months. So far she is not looking too bad playing against the 134th ranked Ruse of Romania.

Great to see Raducanu return to the tour with a W in her first match back in just over 2.5h. Svitolina will likely straight set her in the next round but matches against top players are needed thick and fast if she is to have any notable results before the clay court season. IW and Miami will be good goals to aim for but whether she plays qualies or is given WCs is yet to be seen.
