The Badosa-Rybakina match was full of streaks where one player would win 3 or 4 games in a row and just when you think they were running away with the match or the set, the other player would win 3 or 4 games in a row. Some good points but also some bad unforced errors cost Rybakina.

Always bet against Rybakina when a match is tight in the third set.
Very difficult to root for her because she has all the weapons but usually fails to deliver.
She reminds me of a player I really liked but was constantly underperforming, Nadia Petrova.

Emma is next; plays Germany #118 Tamara Korpatsch! This will be very interesting match! Emma has not won a 2nd round match in a very long time!

Emma breaks now 2-0; Emma servings! Hope this works out like this but Raducanu usually turn it around to a lost in the 1st set and loose by slim margin and wins the second set and loose the third set! LOL!

6-0 2-5.

What a bizarre turnaround. Too many powderpuff rally balls from Raducanu. Just allowing the other girl to dictate.

After Raducanu waxed Korpatsch in a first set in which Korpatsch only won 7 measly points, Korpatsch played 10 times better in the second and takes it 6-2. Raducanu's level deflated drastically.

I see Korpatsch beat Giorgi yesterday in 3 and she played qualies, so she's already well settled in this tournament and ready to go the distance. This will require a refocus from Raducanu now. This is the type of challenge she will need to get used to overcoming as she is a scalp for most players nowadays, and a beatable one at that.

6-0 2-6 6-1.

Bizarre match but Emma gets through and - I believe - has achieved the round of her seeding for the first time since the US Open (?).

Pressure's off against Swiatek. Just got to try her best and gain some useful experience. If Emma wins 3 games in every set, call it a win.

I can't believe what I just saw a few games ago.
You know the programmable ad screens at the back
of the court with the flashy cars etc.?
They also have colorful, dazzling, moving scenes.
They forgot to turn it off during the play of at least one point. Talk about a distraction! :(

And that's a wrap. 6-0 2-6 6-1 for Raducanu.

It's Swiatek vs Raducanu in the QF. With the current trend, losing 3 and 3 would be an achievement against Swiatek.

Swiatek apparently played Raducanu in 2018 (presumably at junior level?) and won 6-0 6-1.

Won't take much to improve on that, Emma.

Emma final won her 2nd rounder, in 3 sets and will face Swiatek tomorrow night!
#1 vs. #12! Stay tune! Can Emma duplicate her U.S. Open performance to face Swiatek?

Since Swiatek has not lost a match in a long while and Emma just won here 1st match in a long while; I predict the score to be Swiatek - 1,1!

Emma does it again, while Emma was at net, and Swiatek position in the corner, Emma hit the volley right back to her and Swiatek hit back as a winner!;)

Iga is playing too well when you get into a rallying dual with her. I think if Emma wanted to get a set here she needs to add more variety and get the ball out of Iga's strike zone. Emma has constructed some nice points but she needs a solid winner to UE ratio playing on these clay courts, and so far that's proving tricky. Also, I'm seeing a lot of rallying balls falling too short and Swiatek is ferocious with them.

6-4 and now a break up immediately in the 2nd set for Swiatek.
