Maddy Keys has been a mess this set but she hit a sweet sliding forehand earlier in the match. So good.

What was that about?

Shelby Rogers is such a mystery to me, and not just her hot/cold tennis. She seems to have the most bland personality in the world. And is she very religious? I forgot what happened that gave me that impression, but I remember thinking it seemed strange.

As for Bencic, I kind of like her attitude. That whole snobby Swiss thing, combined with little temper... it's kinda hot.
 
Shriver and Davenport or so biased towards American players it's sickening. I'm American but can't stand their homerism.
It's like Linette isn't even on the court. It's all about Keys. Bush league TC !!

You probably got that impression about her being religious after watching her "Bag Check" video clip where she mentioned always carrying a little bible in her bag.

I sure thought I was the only "weirdo" having that kind of view but cool to know it is shared at least with one other person! :laughing:

It's a pity that Bencic-Badosa-final can't happen! ;)

Golden SFs in Charleston, the first four seeds are there ! Makes me even more hyped for Stuttgart, the clay field is looking quite strong and packed. I like the four remaining ladies equally and I'd be glad for no matter who lifts the trophy. Still probably be rooting for JPeg as she deserves more titles in my book.
 
Jesus, I know I’m old and senile, but each time I’m here I told myself I’ll have to look and see when the matches will be played today. Yet I’d forget when I get off, 3 times now. :)

I am just watching a replay of this match (really, really boring Saturday evening). I don’t mind the long rallies, but she really needs to fix that serve. Some of her first serve attempts are in the low 60s. I’m definitely not one of those “rec guys can beat WTA pros” idiots, but I’m pretty sure even I could return a lot of the serves she hit today.
 
Feeling for Jess that They suspended play in the middle of a tiebreaker. Another match where she looks tired and grumpy.
