She’s the one who lost to Ostapenko in the FO right? Just seems opposite of Osty. I watched some candid interviews of her with the other WTA players, she seemed genuine.

WTA week of 6/19; Eastbourne 500 & Bad Homburg 250
These both start on Sunday. Always fun to see see how many retirements/withdrawals we'll get. Eastbourne draw Top 16 get byes. Golubic v. Kostyuk & Boulter v. Martincova are decent R1 matches. Bad Homburg draw Some pretty big names here. Sloane/Bianca/Simona/Angie all bouncing around.

Haddad Maia with an opportunity to double up after winning her first title in Nottingham last week. Zhang with the opportunity to make up for her final loss on the grass of Nottingham in 2021 (L. to Konta). Either way, both players having a very fruitful grass court swing after winning the doubles title together in Nottingham last week, and with Zhang also in the doubles final with Mertens in Birmingham. Hopefully she has a week off next week before Wimbledon as making 3 of 4 tournament draw finals (winning 1 with 2 finals yet to play) is might impressive.

Really unfortunate. With Wimbledon so soon players will naturally be cautious. It's a shame they had to play the SFs and F on the same day, and now the doubles final is a W/O. Really bitter end to the tournament.

I can see/understand Bencic slipped and limped… but Zhang had a real chance to get a title. Can’t imagine she’s had a lot of Singles WTA titles so here’s a really good chance. What a shame. Feel bad for her.

Is Jabeur the favourite for Wimbledon? Possibly a better grass court game than Swiatek, and will go to the tournament 'played in', unlikely the Pole.

Ons is a favorite. Her game works well on grass with varieties, slice and drop shot, good FH.

He mental game will be the true test. She has the tools to go deep, but whether breaking new ground/making a final causes a collapse is yet to be seen. I believe her psychologist is due to be present at the tournament which bodes well, but OJ at majors I am still not convinced by - I hope she figures it out at some point as she has serious skills.
