WTA week of 6/19; Berlin 500 & Birmingham 250

Ha, what? Can you squeeze any more ridiculous and unfounded statements into a single comment? Cheering when another player falls is indeed ugly, but that's not what went on here. Context matters. Venus had been trying every trick in the book up until that point, and it was simply Giorgi's way of saying she wasn't going to fall for it. And, in hindsight, we know that Giorgi was right.

Calling Giorgi a "nasty player"? Are you kidding me? She is one of the most respectful players on tour. She doesn't make a peep when she hits the ball (and she hits hard), but more importantly she NEVER let's out obnoxious "come ons," or has any ridiculous celebrations when she wins a point. Heck, she barely does a fist pump when she wins most matches. That's how you know she was deliberately calling Venus out on her BS. She would never let out an "allez" after a point like that.

Likewise, Giorgi never takes ridiculous MTO's, or creates any unnecessary drama during her matches. She just shuts up and plays tennis, and never bothers with any "head games" or nonsense like that.

As for the supposed COVID story, no, we don't all know what she did, because nothing has been substantiated. So far it's nothing but some baseless accusations by association, and her comments on the matter have made that clear. So the only "nasty" person in here is you, who seems to have some sort of personal issue with Giorgi. And it seems like you aren't the only one. Wonder why that is?
You sound ridiculous :D
Go home with Camilla lol

Gauff lost 8 straight games. Saby out to Kudermetova. Wow! This is why Kuder is so intriguing and is a headache for anyone.

The draw is quite open with Sabalenka out now. I am interested to see what Avanesyan will do against Vekic, she impressed me greatly against Blinkova.

Not a bad (probable at the time of this post) loss for Venus. At 43 way better than she should be against the world #17. Looking forward to Wimbledon :D

Say hello to the Bad Girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd gladly go home with Giorgi. But that's not the point. That match was ridiculous, but for other reasons.

Everyone is talking about her as if she is 65 years old, and indeed she seems to act like she is between points, but she is only 43. I say, "only" because while old by tour standards, most athletes her age do not quite look so limited and frail.

Tomorrow will be quite busy in Berlin, they better hope it’s dry.

Zhu/Ostapenko/Krejcikova won in Birmingham, Dart up a set.

Pardon?
An exhaustive list of athletes her age pretty much begins and ends with Venus.
