Already in the 350's? The match hasn't even started yet. :D

This thread's going to reach critical mass and implode I'm pretty sure, as with any Fedal final.

Where did you get his post match interview transcript from? I can't find it anywhere!

I find it really strange that Roger mentioned meeting JMDP at AO next year. Like out of nowhere. This happens a lot with him. It's like hes given up trying to fix his H2H with rafa, seems to be more focused on Delpo, loll. Nobody beats Roger twice in a row in 2 major events and gets away with it!!

I know, it's gonna be awesome. What's Bodo know? This is pre-match of the year.:)

I'll pick Rafael Nadal in 3 sets over Roger Federer in a great final. Federer is playing really well, but so is Nadal. Neither Djokovic or Murray is Nadal though. Federer and Nadal are both very battle tested now on this surface, so I would expect a really high level of play during the final. It should be a really fun match to watch as they both realize that the Australian Open is around the corner as well. I'm sure that neither wants to drop this match, knowing that a hard court major will soon be upon them.

'Q. You repeat every day is it is the worst condition for you to play here.'

I'm glad to see that it's not just me that notices his CONSTANT precautionary excuses. When it's the clay season you don't hear Roger talking about how the surface doesn't suit him. You always hear about how much he's looking forward to a 'new challenge' or something.

I really want Roger to win today.

Whoever wins the biggest winners will be the '****s here, lot of material for whining and fighting about and munching on it in the next month. It will last until the AO nicely.

Minor change. Wondering whether your post reads better this way.

More likely that he doesn't obsess over Nadal as much as some would like to think.

 I can't think of anything worse than being around here for the off season.

Roger only says a claycourter doesn't need to have a volley or a serve, only run and run.

Are you calling Nadal a claycourter?

Q. Final against Rafa. It means career Grand Slamer versus career Grand Slamer. I think this is new history. This is a unique matchup. What do you think about it?

ROGER FEDERER: I'm not sure, but I'll try to answer. Look, what he's achieved is amazing. Obviously at his age to win the calendar Grand Slam or the career Grand Slam, three in a row, he has already now, is again, another great streak. And he has many other things which are amazing. So obviously he's a wonderful player. He's proven himself that he can play on any surface now. The ones who still call him a clay court expert, they still don't know much about tennis.
He's proven his point again today, how good he was under pressure. Pity obviously for Murray. I'm really looking forward to playing him for the first time in the finals of a World Tour Finals. I think I played him twice in the semis before, so it should be entertaining and exciting for both of us.

I really hope Fed win's, but I'm thinking Nadal takes this in 3.

Hopefully, it will be a great match. It's about time these two met again.

We'll be here. You go nowhere, okay ?
May the revelry continue.

Sigh, my net died halfway through Murray/Rafa yesterday after Murray took the second set so have no idea really how things went down in the important moments of the first semi, and during the Roger match.

I'd guess Rafa will win, the match up and mental edge favours him too much these days, regardless of surface.

Can't find it - today's the CFL final (Canadian Football) a major blowout for the country, no one is interested in the tennis (barbarians).
Is the Rogers Cup a fairly popular sporting event over there?

Tennis was pretty big in Pittsburgh right around the USO each year.

Hundreds of posts in this thread, and the match hasn't even started yet.

I'm not going to read everything here, but I assume that half the posts mention either Federer crying or Nadal's oft-picked underwear.

LOL some of you never learn. Remember Wimbledon 2008? If both play 100%, Nadal wins. It´s not because Nadal is a better player overall (i´m not going to discuss who is better), just because nadal is a terrible match-up for Federer.
SW19 is grass, not indoor. And do you remember 2006 and 2007 Master Cup? That was prime Fed.

Today, it's the opposite role where prime rafa is #1 and decline fed #2, this time Nadal is the favorite to win. Pressure is on rafa !

It starts in 25 mins, no?

Well we do have free health care here :)
I found out last year that we do too, only you have to be really poor (only benefit of being a college student, lol). it's quite sub-par too. Doctor options suck. Plus ppl in Canada are wayyy nicer. or maybe new yorkers are just really rude. :/

Going to go way out on a limb and say Rafa in 2 - I think he's got to get it fast; not sure how much stamina he has left.
