HOW MANY TIMES CAN A MAN SHANK AND HIT 20CM INSIDE THE LINES
Coming from a person who can go in a minute from "Djokovic is done" to "Djokovic will win the next 4 slams".
Why hate to say it? There is a few of them that fill with me hope for the future of watchable tennis despite the 3 main ones (Medvedev/Zverev/Tsitsipas) all being kind of arrogant and bratty, the tennis is very watchable. Especially from Zverev and Tsitsipas. Thiem is playing well these days too although i still feel a lot of his shots come down to ball-bashing.
So Nadal ended up beating the winner of the tournament? Only here such a joke is possible. Then Tsists came out the next day after a disappointing loss in a 3 hour match and beat Federer, looking fresh as a daisy. Would Nadal at 33 have done that? Unlikely. That's what youth allows you to do. He did try but Nadal was too good.
You really didn't pick up on that after the AO? You just said the other day that Roger was playing well that day and still lost. Even with Breakpointerer in full stride it took a lot of guts for a 21 year old to save that many BPs on that stage. Often with clutch 1st serves and net charging.
i mean to be fair you dont have to look far, his off court antics can be unlikable as well. he's definitely no stranger to gamesmanshipI obviously haven’t heard enough of Tsitsipas talking off court as I can’t understand where all this hatred is coming from, seems an interesting and likeable young man to me.
For me, beating 37- 38 year old Roger isn't the standard for slam success.
He is simply young and naive. I too find it nauseating. And I am Greek. So do a lot of my countryman.i feel like for the most part nick owns who he is. i cant speak for tomic since i dont know much about it. but between his gamesmanship antics, his faux intellectual tweets where most of the time he is actually quoting someone else and not being original, he just needs to stop talking. he has tweeted some pretty dangerous things imo and people just pretend he is this cute, quirky innocent thing
same, i mean i was so annoyed when tennis pundits kept going on and on about changing of the guard at AO when stef beat fed, but guess who ended up in the finals. beating the old man while still no easy feat imo shouldn't be the gold standardFor me, beating 37- 38 year old Roger isn't the standard for slam success.
Beating Nadal or Djokovic (until they become too old) is.
