I don't see it that way.
There are many slow courts still and only a year or two ago everything seemed super slow..
Need a balence.

Here we go .
Few if you mean 4 years ago and now they've upped the ante this year across the board. The speed facts are indisputable.

Djokovic had it even tougher in YEC 2009 he won 2 of the 3 matches in that nightmare tough YEC. If my memory serves he only missed out by a game to get to the SF while Nadal got destroyed by Zverev.
Yea I mean lost badly to Zverev and needed a massive choke job from Med to remain in the running. Complaining about he lost out is overkill.

When Thiem won IW over Fed he credited the surface as playing like a clay court.

The USO was slightly faster than recent years, but the AO was also a hair slower (although mainly due to the ball change, I think)

Wimbledon complaints were more widespread than I've ever seen them
well don't get your panties in a wad about the AO:sneaky:, they're ripping that out for 2020 and putting in the same surface as Basel. Its unbelievable.

First convincing flat BH DTL for Thiem on this match.
Somehow during the match he is not feeling confidence on this shot today. Shot that he used so well vs. Djoko...
BH rally Thiem really suffers variety of Tsitsi, hardly getting out with point.
But.....now the better fighter will win!

Djokovic was destroyed by Soderling just like Nadal destroyed by Zverev this year. Pretty much the same situation.

It wasn't that close. In Federer's group it was mighty close, not Novak's.

Thiem and Tsitsipas have got to be the favourites in Australia if they maintain this level on hard.

I think he cares about the biggest tournament he hasn't won yet more than the no1 at the end of the year.
Don't think he's thinking about anything tennis related after being eliminated since Friday though. Some of you guys who think these pros don't get over losses after 3 days need to get a grip.
