Thanks for that list :D

On paper, this is the toughest draw for Nadal. Djokovic, Davydenko and Soderling are all without injuries and in good form.

But he has a chance to come through, although it will depend more on his opponents than on him. Let's wait and see how Soderlingovicenko responds to the challenge of beating Rafa in an event that is more important than Masters.

Imagine if Nadal was #3 and ended up with Federer, Djokovic, and Murray/DelPotro

Skysports are great. It aint cheap but the their sports coverage is amazing. :)

Why are so many people favoring Soderling to win all of a sudden? He's been playing better than he has, but he's still not all that good. He lacks a lot of consistency, and not just on his strokes.

I didn't see anyone say Soderling was favorite to win, just that he'll probably at least beat Nadal if the two met up. Anything after that is uncertain. As of now, I'd put Fed, Djok, Murray, and Davy ahead of Sod as favorites.

my prediction:

group A:

1. Federer-3 wins
2. Del Potro-2 wins
3. Verdasco- 1 win
4. Murray (overrated)-0 win

group B:

1. Djokovic-3 wins
2. Davydenko-2 wins
3. Nadal-1 win
4. Soderling-0 win

Federer and Murray should easily get out of their group as Del Potro sucks at the moment and Verdasco can't beat a top player.

I think Djokovic is a sure bet to get out of the group, and then probably Soderling. Soderling has the edge over Davydenko and Nadal based on current form (he just beat Davydenko about a week ago and obviously knows how to beat Nadal).

I see Murray vs Soderling and Federer vs Djokovic in the semifinals, with Murray and Djokovic making it to the finals. Based on current form it would obviously be Djokovic, but if Murray can get out of the current slump he seems to be in I think he has a good chance.

I don't think it would be too crazy if Nadal gets out of his group.

He might surprise us all and show up completely in-form and start dominating play.

He certainly surprised quite a few people, especially his fans, when he beats Tsonga in Paris. And in an interview after his Djokovic loss, Nadal said he feels very confident and that he's taking the positives from his Tsonga win with him to London rather than any negatives from his loss against Djokovic.

I don't think Djokovic can keep up his level for 3/4 weeks of this month. I really don't. He's got to dip in level.

Davydenko can beat Nadal, sure, but Nadal beat Davy in 2006 at the Master's Cup- he knows how to beat Kolya at this time of year.

And, hopefully, Nadal has some fire in his belly against Soderling. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I hope you're right. I do believe Nadal's going to be a little careful about not risking injury in London, though, given that the Davis Cup is around the bend and he's determined to play and win THAT for sure! So I'm not expecting him to run for every single ball, of which we know him capable.

On the other hand, if he's approaching London with his Tsonga positives in mind, he may not have to run all over the court so much because he'll be more aggressive - and hopefully this time he'll have a game plan in mind for each of his three opponents. All the lost matches he played recently with them - being fresh in his mind - could come in very handy, indeed, if he and Toni are spending some time now pondering the antidotes.

my prediction:

group A:

1. Federer-3 wins
2. Del Potro-2 wins
3. Verdasco- 1 win
4. Murray (overrated)-0 win

group B:

1. Djokovic-3 wins
2. Davydenko-2 wins
3. Nadal-1 win
4. Soderling-0 win

Oh My God...i sure hope you are not a gambling man, this is the worst predictions so far.

Thanx Batz, this is gonna be a hell of a week! :)
Do you btw have any link to a picture of the court? And some info on the surface?

Shame the new Wilson racquets are not out yet, would have been good to see some players using their BLX at the WTF.

I heard that the court won't be laid until tomorrow - the guys are practicing @ queen's until Saturday I think.

Wow, as freash as could be :) cool
At Queens? I assume they have HC- indoor there?

Can't take too much credit guys - another poster got there first in the London thread over in the pro players results section.

Thanks.

I've got tickets for Sunday afternoon.

Anyone know how I could get tickets for Fed's Sunday match? I can't use my afternoon ticket, but is there anyway I could watch without paying full price?

Excellent stuff, batz!

So, turns out I was wrong. Looks like the first seed's group is playing first this year.

Obviously, due to Murray.[/QUOTE]

100%. That single live slot for the BBC was the giveaway. It also suits Sky, as Sunday will be Murray's single day match - means Sky will get his 2 night matches Tuesday/Thursday.

Federer and Soderling practiced 2 hours today, Magnus Norman (Robins coach) said Federer looks extremely sharp and focused !! :):)
