X-1 Biphase vs. Yonex 850 Pro Spin

I've been using the technifibre in a pro hurricane mains, tech crosses for the past 2 years. I absolutely love this set up at 59 in my prestiges, but it wouldn't hurt for me to cut the cost of it down a little bit. Durability, though, seems to be a bit of an issue now that I've gotten a lot better over those 2 years. It's like I break the crosses in 3 weeks nowadays compared to the 5-6 weeks it lasted a long time ago.

As for my playing style, I would say big serve, good baseline game but getting better at the all court game. I hit with a good amount of topspin from both wings. I sometimes throw in deep and short sliced balls or heavy topspin to mix it up a bit.

That said, I was wondering how the yonex compares to the technifibre in terms of durability and feel. Does the yonex have that great, almost gut-like feel the technifibre has? Any opinions and reccommendations would help

These are two of my favorite strings, but they do play differently. The Yonex is firmer (but not harsh) and less gut-like than the BiPhase. I think the Yonex is more durable and the BiPhase has better feel. The BiPhase will fray, while the Yonex doesn't. While I string the Yonex at 60lbs, I need to string the BiPhase at 62lbs to get the same firmness and to avoid a trampoline-like stringbed. There's more string movement with the Biphase than the Yonex. Both are great strings. Give the Yonex a try.

I also have played both strings and echo the insights of SC in MA. I would add that I thought theYonex played "crisp".. while the BiPhase played more like gut and at a lower tension. Very soft and powerful at lower tensions and more firm at higher tension and very easy on the arm.
