Year end #1

This year till now, the accumulated ranking points for the top players are
Federer: 7460
Nadal: 6885
Murray: 4520
Djokovic:4240
Roddick: 3730

For year end ranking, they play now. Last years tournament points drop one by one.
Federer can achieve the year end #1 ranking. But with a good show, Nadal can overtake him.

What do you think. Who will be #1/2/3 by year end.

P.S: The calculation is manual, so there could be mistakes. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Fed just too good
Murray improves with each tournament, upward momentum
Nadal downgraded - injury worries and personal problems
Roddick sheer determination and grit
Wawrinka underated
Gasquet if he can stay clear of the Bolivian White

Murray has to compensate 2300 points to cross Nadal. Last year he won Cincinati,Madrid whereas Nadal was semis. And some other point gain in US Open as well.
I know, but i dont think Nadal will make it past the last 16 in New York, and weve got Montreal coming up

1. Federer
2. Nadal
3. Murray
4. Roddick
5. Djokovic

No big jumps or surprises. Federer probably wins the US Open, Murray, Nadal, make semis, Roddick in finals which is where the jump to 4 comes from. If Roddick miraculously wins the US, (I'm hoping) he might be 3 because Murray might have trouble defending his summer points and Djokovic is kinda bombing out.

Sorry but after wimbledon thats impossible

The points accumulated this year are going to be race. The points will be divided by 5, that's all.

Federer: 7460
Nadal: 6885
Murray: 4520
Djokovic:4240
Roddick: 3730

Only Nadal has any realistic chance of overtaking Federer now.

Form-wise and point-wise, I think Fed has the best shot for the year end number one. He's shown great form in the past few tournaments and he has the least points to defend(3760) out of the top 4. I think Nadal has an outside chance if he can quickly regain his pre-RG form as he has to defend 3850 points.
I really can't see Murray taking the top spot because he has 5210 points to defend, he might even drop to number 4 if Djoker finds his form.
Djokovic has 4100 points do defend and he's had quite a few unexpected loses so he must not really be high on confidence at the moment.
In my opinion, Fed has a very good chance to end the year ranked number one as long as he continues playing the way he has for the last month or so.

Could be a good battle between Novak and Roddick of who'll end #4,we'll see if Novak finds his good form again and if Roddick recovers from tough Wimbledon loss.

On topic,I think Fed has the best shot to end they year #1 with Nadal having the best chance to prevent him and maybe Murray has a shot if he goes on a a rampage for the rest of the year and wins a bunch of masters + USO and Fed and Nadal falter.
