Yonex 2018 VCore 100 vs 100L

Time for my 10 years old daughter first 27" racquet as she has been playing with the 250g VCore 26" since the start of the year. She has been transitioning to yellow ball for the last 3 months or so, and now fully hitting with yellow balls. Since I can get the previous gen VCore 100L (280g) Flame Red at a decent price, is it a good idea to go with that option and maybe weigh up later when she grows stronger?

Is there a big difference between previous gen 100L and current gen 100L? I assume the 100 and 100L only differs in weight in handle and thus balance, but mold/layups are the same.

She's not breaking strings regularly yet, so is it worth getting 2 racquets without demoing?

Thanks in advance.

The VDM in new gen (red and blue) 100L reduces vibrations very well, your daughter's arm will thank you for that.

(I say it from played the 100 both generations the new one just that much more solid and comfortable)

Thanks. Unfortunately I didn't get your response before I pulled the trigger, so already bought the 2018 100L. I plan to keep her on full bed synthetic gut or multi until she gets older, so that should help protect her joints.
